India's fast bowlin department is so weak that series result is much predictable. we can win test only if we grab 20 wickets. With the current pace attack like zakh(never troubled aussie batsmen), ishant(not matured, no swing, no pace) and RP singh(not a threat), aussie batsmen will annihilate them. Only sreesanth was th bowler who showed some success against aussies and he is not playing. The moral of the story is Series result is much predictable in favour of Aus.
Wasim Jaffer (captain) Ibrahim Khaleel (WK) Irfan Pathan Zaheer Khan Munaf Patel Yusuf Pathan Iqbal Siddique Mohammed Kaif Mohammed Saif Abbas Ali Ali Murtaza
Azharuddin (Manager) Aurangzeb (Saint and Patron) Shah Rukh Khan and Dawood (co-sponsors)
How can Chauhan say that with the bowlers India has? Except for Kumble no other bowler is International class. Among the gentle medium pacers Ishanth and Pankaj have no experience because they are so young. Zaheer and RP are carrying niggles and Pathan can only rely on his swing because he has no pace. And Harbhajan has become very defensive in his approach. With these kind of bowlers how can Chauhan be so stupid in making this bold claim? India can't win with just the batsmen performing. We all know that from the last 2 tests against Pakistan playing at home under familiar conditions. But now India is playing in the most hostile condition (for cricket) in the world.
I think that India drew 1-1 because Ganguly was the skipper at that time. Under his captaincy india have plyaed better cricket abroad.Kumble is a pathetic captain....and i think we will find difficult to draw test matches.let alone winning them.Gutsy players like Dhoni should be made test captain.

Kumble, Dravid, Ganguly all do the same things as captains. No difference. Indian team is led by the team management comprising of tend, Kumb, Dravid, Gang and the manager. The captain is just a figurehead.
Laxman has the maximum average in the current series but no one has felicitated him but laurels are their for Dada who is totally responsible for WC debacle. Dravid again is the only Indian cricketer to have obtained both the best player and cricketer of ICC and if I am correct Dada just left the presentation area within seconds and Tendulkar avoided the ceremony . It may be mentioned here that both Dada and tendulkar were in poor form at that time and continued till WC and there after with the exit of Chappell they started playing well. A foreigner need not lie. What else you expect from traiters ?

Giri Garoo. I too know Laxman is a great player. Again I would like to re-iterate that whenever you speak about
Cricket... please mention the form of the game. Whether TESTS, ODIs or T20s. Again I would like to say that
these 5 are the greatest Indian "TEST" players for India.. atleast in last 10 years or so. Their facts..(as you
say.. Averages speak for themselves). So as far as TEST matches are concerned... the whole world will accept
that they have to be in the TEST team. (For ODIs and T20s.. we can select other younger players if you wish).

A foreigner may or may not lie.But you are an invidious liar for sure. Take a dip in the dirty water of your village in Madras...dont spoil the forum.

Who are the other great match winners for India abroad among the current players at current form?
Hope our team goes to Australia soon and gets acclimatized to the conditions. Fast, bouncy pitches where ball will whizz past the head atleast 3 times every over, where the cold December/Jan. winter conditions will help swing, not spin that much...(much different from the warm conditions and docile tracks...that helped our spinners here in India). Also the ability to play on big grounds...where running between wickets is going to be a key factor, where the great Indian batsmen can't simply give the ball a push or just time it to watch it sail across the ropes (as in India) and where they have to really hit the ball with all their might to try and score a boundary on the really massive grounds of Melbourne and Sydney where fences are miles away from the square.
Lets See. Hope our Indian boys give their best and do well. Only hope we don't lose the 4-match Test series. These are 4 matches..not 3 as in Ind-Pak series here. So India has to play to win or play over careful against the World's No.1 Test side Australia now.. to not lose the series. Captain has to be aggressive and make better decisions and not wait so long to declare (like he did against Pak here in 3rd Test). Controlled aggression coupled with common sense cricket will only have us in good stead against a tough TEST nut Australia. We have to match Ponting's men in strategy guile & most importantly I feel we should land there well ahead of Dec. 26th to get used to conditions & play tough, not for draws.

I agree with u on getting enough preparation before the first test. Sunil Gavaskar has been complaining for the last two decades about our boards spinelessness when agreeing on schedule with foreign boards. How consistently we get these spineless guys is amazing.
