Very interesting
by India on Dec 15, 2007 05:07 PM

Indians will (in all probability) be facing Tait, Lee and Mitchell Johnson in Melbourne. That should be really interseting. This kind of express fast bowling has not been displayed in the same test match for a very long time now. The only boring thing is the match seems totally one sided because India can't retaliate with same kind of bowling.

Can Shuan Tait go for a biomechanic analyst opinion
by ajay dixit on Dec 15, 2007 03:40 PM  | Hide replies

I think Aus should take it as a challenge and send Shuan Tait for a bowling analysis with a biomechanic expert..(aus do have some experts)...... they pushed murli for it and he cleared it...TAIT SHOULD HAVE THE GUTS TO GO FOR IT.

hei nut, you know why murli took it? how he cleared it? don't compare a man with bent elbow with a straight arm pacer. Did you loose anything in the process?

Dont talk too much Mr.Ponting.....

Ponting is the most arrogant captain of the present generation.Agreed he is a class act when he is in form. But he should remember the revival of Aussie cricket was done by Steve Waugh(Not RICKY PUNTER).
I really hope that players like Yuvi,Ganguly,Sehwag,Irfan,Zaheer and Dhoni should show agression not only in their batting, bowling and fielding but also should indulge in staring and also mild sledging. This is an act which the Aussies indulge but they find it irritating when this is given back at them.If these players do the above mentioned acts and the entire team continue their good form Ponting will find that he has a trade or two to learn from the INDIANS.
India will win...CHAK DE INDIA......

Ponting may be arrogant. But he plays to win and not for a draw like Kumble. But what about Dravid and Kumble? They are both cowards. Instead of winning matches they both settle for boring draws. It would have been better off for India if Dhoni or Yuvraj had been appointed captain for tests.

Yeah. They are. They are a bit fragile than a Mr. Universe, but they are still strong enough for the OZ bowling.

Why curse an Indian batsman? Let us enjoy a good fight rather.

Ponting pokes his nose. Did you see on TV? What kind of actions are that by a leader? Ponting is OLD, he needs a replacement in the Aussie team, our team!!

He is the most grace-less of all Aussie captains (For that matter every australian is with the exception of Adam Gilchrist are graceless). 1. He insulted the host by pushing away Pawar and later made a statement that he is prepared to apologise if Pawar requires it. 2. He insulted the nation (India) when he made a statement that 'Indians do not belong here' after India's early exit from WC. Even now he doesn't acknowledge the superiority of Indians in T20 cricket (on the contrary see how Gilly admitted the batting prowess of Indian youngturks), he keeps saying that Australians have to get serious about T20. Sure they have to get serious otherwise the world will bypass them. He has good batting talent but lacks other skill (especially management and PR skills). Once you have a set of talented players and anyone will make a good captain. One can even a Kangaroo from the Australian wild which will be successful.

Why you crap throw out of agony and jealousy attitude. Do you mind washing the dirt in your back? Have you seen Kumble's ferocious act against fellow players when there is a misfield, have you looked at Harbajan's atrocious cruelbound face when someone tries hard and drops a catch or misfields? Finally, you wouldn't see them with Aussies that is atleast within them. Learn somethings or go back to the same class you studied last year, dear disgraceful.

After a test series
by Jolly on Dec 14, 2007 08:37 PM  | Hide replies

The good thing about Indian tour Down under is that they are going there after a test series and not after a ODI series and they will be in Test mode and will not lose wickets in a hurry. Indians should concentrate on not scoring runs but just not losing wickets. Rest will fall in place. As far as sledging goes, it should be a tactic of an eye for an eye...

I think dada is in prime form, he should open just like in ODIs. If he clicks, he can make 300!

Openers should be changed.I would rather suggest Sehwag to open with Dravid followed by Laxman at 1 drop.Sachin,Ganguly,Yuvraj, and Dhoni in the middle.Pathan,Kumble,Zaheer and Ishant as bowlers.RP should be the 12th man.I preferred Ishant over RP because he provides a difference because he is a right handed bowler. When you have 2 pace bowlers who are lefthanded(Irfan and Zaheer),its better to have a right handed bowler as the 3rd pace bowler. Not only this the lanky Ishant with his height and ability to hit the deck will be a threat fot the Aussie batsmen......CHAK DE INDIA....

You need a proper opner as much as your lineup is a tempting proposal it will fall flat on its face especially when u start at MCG and when they go up with 4 bowlers in 150kmph.

Rather have karthik opening since he has done it in SA and Eng succefully and replace Dhoni and bring Pathan there. Karthik should also keep then.

But, KKD Karthik only knows how to poke his nose well. Why don't we remove KKD from the team forever? Ponting is also good at poking his (KKD's too) nose.
