if the pitches r prepared like the ones made in this indo-pak series. just boring. high scoring with no result inspite of 5 long delays. only improving statistics of batsman. so on retirement he will think on laurels.
Can you make an average assessment of the earnings the cricket viewers would have earned if they were engaged in productive activities during the day time working hours. If that figure is substantial then can we not organise cricket matches once in two years or once in four years.
All test matches of Cricket should be played during Day / Night. To make it more thrilling and Decisive Game, each inning should be limited to 100 overs . Thus both teams playing two innings each will have certainly a Winner.
RE:TEST MATCH--CRICKET DAY /NIGHT

there should be no lights for test matches. common guys, test matches are real cricket matches. If u change that also, then there would be no day match at all. I am certainly against it. it's the tradition of world cricket. If test matches are interesting then ppl would definitely come to watch irrespective of time & chance....retain the traditional form pls....thnks
In a day night one day match almost 70% of the matches are won by teams batting first. The conditions under light are never conducive for batting. On top of that you have moisture playing spoil sport .Further lack of light have always resulted in fielding blunders. Why play the game under such extreme conditions. Playing a day night test match would mean a 100% result favouring sides batting first. We shall strongly oppose to this day night system of cricket be it in one - dayers or Tests.
RE:day night matches are a doom for sides batting second

The point is valid for one day matches. When the match is spread over a few days, both sides will have the same situation. What is the problem? The problem with balls can also be sorted out by having balls changed after less than the present 75 overs. The question is how useful will it be for spinners.
It's nice only to talk because the decision will not be taken keeping our views under consideration, it will be decided by the corporate giants who run cricket, we only have the option of watching or not.
This may a good idea for others but certainly not in India where the country is facing unprecedented power crisis. Even day-night ODI should also be stopped.
Even conventional day-light cricket is appealing in India. Attendance in recently concluded INDO-PAK series proves that.
