aussier are playing cricket as one unit with desire to win
by Suman Bhat on Dec 15, 2007 04:48 PM  | Hide replies

aussies are No1 team bcuz all players support the captain, and play for team cause not for individual records and with a desire to win
ind team players play for self records, sponsers, to fix place for next game or for the group they represent within team. most of players did not support team or mates it happened during WC and SA tour and even in England tour. it was visible on field if it can happened to dravid when he was captain even there is chance kum ble as captian may not get the full support of all other 10 players also some players will play for self but make sure team will loose.Even chief selector created problem for dravid by giving some crop statement in media and criticising captain in public
there is very tough chance for team india to beat aussies
best of luck to captain kumble and team india

Everyone knew that you (Kumble) talk more than exhibiting. Likewise you have 'talked' now, that's it... no action.

IPL or Indian Paisa League
by Rajdeep Singh on Dec 15, 2007 01:48 PM

The BCCI-sponsored Indian Premier League (IPL) will see the recently retired Australian spin legend Shane Warne drawing the highest fee %u2014 $400,000. I personally think that IPL is not Indian Premier League, It is Indian Paisa League

The BCCI managing committee announced the names of 34 cricketers, including Warne, who have signed the contract and would be competing in next year%u2019s league.

Glenn McGrath and Mohammad Yousuf will earn $350,000 and $330,000, respectively, BCCI treasurer N Srinivasan said here today.

Former Kiwi skipper Stephen Fleming has been offered $350,000, while 10 other cricketers were offered sums in the $225,000 bracket. However, the board did not mention the names of any Indian cricketers who had been offered a contract amount.

Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar ($2,25000) and captain Shoaib Malik ($300,000) have also confirmed their participation in the league along with retired Sri Lankan star Sanath Jayasuriya.

Jayasuriya%u2019s team-mate Muttiah Muralitharan has been offered $250,000.
