ind fans.
by uncle shame on Dec 11, 2007 11:06 AM

once ind wins one test, everybody says the remaining matches either shud b draw or rain shud come and all such things so that ind win the series. so even if remaining tests get boring they dont mind.
is this mindset good for a team to prospect in ckt.

Ganguly v/s Dravid
by Chints on Dec 10, 2007 10:23 AM  | Hide replies

No wonder communal parties like BJP thrive in our country. Instead of appreciating the fine comeback by ganguly this year, we are fighting about who is better amongst two of India's greatest batsmen in the last decade. This is regionalism at its height. Please remember that both Dravid and Ganguly are great cricketers and are the pride of not only Bengal or karnataka but the whole of India. Just because we have some freedom of speech via this rediff message board we should not write some shit

yur intention is right, but is poorly executed. true, that both dravid and ganguly are great batsmen and have served india well.

yu are biased too, by naming bjp. yu are making a lot of assumptions by assuming congress or others are the best politcians we have seen till date. here's a reminder, anti-sikh riots/ emergency.

now, moving forward: dont drag politics into cricket!!!!

Drop this Ishant Sharma character
by JM on Dec 10, 2007 10:09 AM

Hard to believe we dont have a better bowler in India than I.Sharma. How many no-balls does he bowl? He bowled a lot in Bangladesh on his debut and does so in Ranji as well!

His first-class debut was in 2006 Nov and he is already playing test cricket! Is his father a politician or something?

When will Ranadeb Bose get a chance?

EAST OR WEST.......................DADA IS THE BEST
by Rajdeep Singh on Dec 10, 2007 09:34 AM  | Hide replies

It was a great feeling to see sourav scoring maiden double hundred in the Banglore test. With his great performance, he has showed that he is the best ever test cricketer of India. He is 34 now and can play for 3 more years. I hope that when he will retire from all forms of cricket, he will have more than 25,000 runs to his name. I salute his great game in the Banglore test. I hope that India will win this test and win the test series against Pak after 27 years on their home soil. The players like Verinder Sehwag, Mohammed Kaif should be recalled for the Australia tour. Munaf Patel should be axed and VRV should be in the Indian squad for the Australian tour. I think that BCCI should be led by Kapil Dev and Sandeep Patil should be made as the Indian coach. Selection committee should be led by Ravi Shastri. Only cricket related personalities should run BCCI because the people like Sharad Pawar and Niranjan Shah have already done tomuch damage to the Indian cricket.

Rajdeep, I am also a fan a ganguly, and i love him score lots of runs in all forms of cricket. But surely, he is not the best indian test cricketer. In 99 test matches, he has scored 6255 runs at a batting average of 42.8. Compare this to sachin (55.06) and Dravid (56.05). Sourav has scored his first double hundred now, Sachin has 4 and dravid has 5 double hundreds. yes, Dada has a phenomenal record in ODI's and he cretainly was the best ODI player apart from sachin for India. But in test matches, sorry to say, dravid and sachin are way too good.

I have read today on this forum most of the articals as dravid vs ganguly. But i think there is
no time or situation to disscus a foolish topic like this.Ganguly is playing his best ever cricket so it is very very pleasent to watch him playing in such a manner but same time for this why some guys are trying to find rahul dravid behind ganguly's bad days.Forget about the past now it is the time to think about the way kangaroo' worry when dravid yet to come in his purpul patch along with ganguly sachin jaffer and Yuvraj.Be indian non Statian.

real nonsense.how can one compare a 239 against a club attack which pak had now(wherein Akthar is partly fit) against two big hundreds dravid got against Aus one at kolkatta and the other in Aus den.Dravid has perfect technique to tackle any bowling on any pitch.Ganguly has a prbm on short stuff. Can any one make such unjustifiable comparison.Dravid is much much much better player than Ganguly.May be now his timing was not at its best.Surely he will reach hit his peak form and very shortly as well.

U Joker, against same club attack we were 60 for 4 and would have been out of this match if even one more wicket had fallen. When any team scores so many runs the bowling looks club standard. Now please lay off this short pitch stuff, u guys have been going on barking about it and he is going on scoring runs, in both versions of the game.Dont u guys feel ashamed and shut up.

Agree .If india is in commanding position in this match It is just because of partnership b/w ganguly and Yuvi and ganguly's heroic performance.

As far as dravid is concerned i am hoping similarly. But different view for ganguly before his comeback i was also thinking similarly you ramana but look now how good he is playing he has made runs against South Africa in SA England in Eng and now against Pak in india. He will surely do it against Aus.See it.

Hello, so u mean to say he fights with boxing gloves. If people with 17000 runs and 37 hundreds in international cricket are not good cricketers, then lets fill the team with bad cricketers (according to u).Well why u dont ganguly, is not a secret,ur name is clue enough.
