Keep aside national pride and patriotism for a while and be just a cricket lover. Then watch some of the old cricket matched played between inda & pakistan. The way pakstani players wanted their share of fame and for the way they fought for that, the dedication, ferocity has made india / pakistan matches a big draw. Those days public wanted to win all the matches against pakistan but the player were quite not capable of giving a fight be it in sharja or anywhere else

sharja was fixed anyway and for pakistanis cricket was the only thing in which they could beat india in those days.
there is no excuse to support pakistan being indians. so what happens if there is a war " leave aside evrything pakistanis are brave figheters so you support them?

Sorry Dude you are mistaken,

Indian has Vishy, the world greatest chess player. Lot of top chess players are Indian.

Look at the Asian Games, Pakistan is in the botton. India is one amoung the ten. Even in Hockey, Both are not world champions and I don't see a big difference.
India has won medals in Olympics , I don't see any pakistan medal in near future.

India has a women Hockey team and which is one of the best.

Stop this blind Pakistani worship unless of course u r a Pakistani. Paki hockey team has now become pathetic, its even worse than India. Squash also now its nowhere in the scene. When that Khan family was in the game, Pak used to do well. But that was years ago. Now squash is dead in Pak. India has produced top quality shooters who have done well the world over. In chess also India is on top. In Tennis also India has been doing quite well at least in doubles and mixed doubles.

In squash Pak is zero right now.
Its hockey team is worse than India's right now.
India has been doing well in shooting, doubles tennis, and women's tennis. Also in chess. In archery also Indian team is world class.

Pakistani hockey team is worse than India based on one tournament performance of India. What a turn of events. Clearly shows how desperate Indians were to get one victory. Changed their minds. Still Pakistan has won almost 2/3rd of the total matches between India and Pakistan. Losers.

Mr. Zaveri, u cannot talk logically. U r convinced in ur mind that Pakistan is better in each department as compared to India. And u want to convince all the Indians also about it. But no one in his/her right mind will be convinced by ur arguments. So it is better that u go to Zaveri Bazaar and sell jewelery. Logical discussion is not ur forte!

But all you are doing now is a personal attack on Zaveri - whats logical in that? I think Pakistan has a better record in hockey and the top tennis player Quereshi is able to beat the current top players from India. And there are still lot of Pak players in top 100 in squash, and probably one Indian. Not to say India is not going to do better, but dont just bash Pak blindly.

Imran himself admitted in his autobiography that he used to temper the ball with a broken bottle during the lunch time which gave him that banana reverse swing which Indians could not play.
This was the time when there were no neutral umpires, and the Paki umpires gave the ball to the Paki captain. Now that there are neutral umpires, and the ball stays with the umpires, the famous banana reverse swing of Paki pacers has also vanished. Now Pakistan doesn't win too many matches. But I will give the credit to Imran that he was behind the move for neutral umpires. Little did he realize that it will finish off the Pakistani trademark of reverse swing!

The point is, in india which is democratic country where everybody supposed to get equel chances to prove himself cannot produce a medal in olympics. Comapring pakistan with india is not poosible since the sports in pakistan is only for the priviledged and those staying in cities. But we are always saying that ours is best and boasts about the achievements in individual sports which defenitely happened due to the dedication of that particular sportsman. As a country what we have done to encourage a sportsman other than cricketer. Where india is standing in soccer ranking. How many medals we have got in olympics. Think about it

I honestly feel that Dravid should retire from all forms of cricket. I am a great fan a him and will continue to be so. I want him to bow out on a high and doesnt want him to go out humiliated. Dravid's style of play nowadays is not suitable to all the three forms of the game (ODI, Test and T20). Dravid was the lynch pin of the indian batting wheel till late 2006. Enter 2007, enter T20 and the entire game changed. Peopl want everyone to be aggressive and play blind slogs rather than playing the ball by merit. Dravid's game will never suit these type of changes. Dravid was a slow starter in ODIs but adapted remarkably to the game and became a certainty in almost all ODIs featuring India from early 2002 till England series. Now that his reflexes are gone, and the situation became more demanding, he is unable to cope-up. I would give him a royal salute for the incredible commitment and his value-add to our Indian team. His services to our team is masterly. Dravid, please call it a day now and you will be remembered as the greatest No.3 in the history of the game.

I am not commenting to your mail specifically but want to stress on the subject at large.
My point is that in India we go, Sachin Sachin or ganguly Ganguly or Dravid Dravid.People for and against the cricketrs in question go on and on and on.
What we should realise and accept is that Cricket is a TEAM game not an individual sport.

So we should talk about the Team as a whole and forget about this individual prefference for players. You see in Football or Hockey, no single players are praised for a win.
Even in Sri lankan or Paki teams, there are no Stars as such.It is only in India where individual glory and performance is highlighted.

Let us not care if Ganguly / Laxman or Jaffer hits a century or if Munaf /Karthik / Zaheer played badly. The end result is India won the match, so the TEAM won not individual players.

Very SAD!!! Jaago India Jaago!

Did it occur to you that he is morally down because he just stepped down from the captainship and then he lost his one day place? Ofcourse being from South Zone he does not have the god fathers who will back him and many would like to see him leave so that a Mr Yuvraj would come in. Time and again in all matches where it mattered he contributed. I bet he knows only to play cricket and that to in the manner he plays, grinding it out. He played as a keeper and at all sorts of assorted battung positions and then made himself a permanent fixture in one day and test side. Now thanks to the usual cheap politics he is kicked around, ofcourse it doesn`t help his cause that he is from South Zone. A underperforming Shewag, a gutless Ganguly, a deflatable Sachin and god knows why Agarkar are given extended runs till they hit the form against minnows like Bangladesh and Zim, it would be really strange if it has nothing to do with politics. A guy who just gave up his captaincy ought to be given some freedom and support instead of people like you breathing down his neck. The poor guy knows only to play cricket in the honest way with the bat, let him do it as long as he wishes to carry on and I will bet my last buck that he will be the one in Australia, mark my words.

"whoever scores big runs vs australia they are great batsman in the world" this is what they say like Ian Chapple and others. then Brodman, pointing, hyden never scored vs aussie, so how they considered as greats. in the world cricket only austalian bowlers good in this case also brodmons are not great,
