Do we want politicians to run the club and get a firmer grip on the BCCI in future ?
by Rajiv Bhatia on Dec 08, 2007 04:07 PM  | Hide replies

Comments on this site related to the subject in question show an unawareness to the issues. Think about it .... Did not all that take place happen with full knowldge & support of the entire machinery of the club, its management and administration? Why are the same people who seem to have always complied, now complaining? Who is greaved ? Is there a larger political angle ? May be further control desired by some others of the BCCI ? May be political control over the CCI ? Do we want politicians to run the club and get a firmer grip on the BCCI in future ? Where is sportsmanship headed ? God bless us and let us not be presumptous and judgemental without proper knowledge.

Funny BCCI jokers...
by Biswajit Ghoshal on Dec 06, 2007 07:53 AM  | Hide replies

First with their money and political power the current BCCI folks (most are from Mumbai and western India) drove away the architect of the Indian cricket, Jagamohan Dalmiya and his colleagues. Now it is funny to see how they are turning onto each other. It's called "THE GREAT BCCI CIRCUS !! "

Which part of this report prompts you to comment on BCCI? I hope you are not so ignorant and are aware that CCI is not the same as BCCI!

nobody can suspend the great RSD
by mudamosi on Dec 06, 2007 07:11 AM

How can anyone 'suspend' RSD? Having taken the most number of wickets, catches, scored most number of runs and centuries, effected most number of stumpings and runouts, RSD is the *only* person in inter-galactic cricket who can critique whomsoever he pleases ... this blatant attempt to erase his cherished memory from the hearts of cricket fans all over the universe should be condemned in the strongest possible words! Financial irregularities? Well that is the norm, suspend him if there had been financial regularities :D

wtf is Shah? Has he even held a bat in his life? The jerk needs to be caned in public. Talking down to a Test batsman with over 6000 runs like that. Its a shame. I think this whole system needs to be revamped so that only ex-cricketers (at least 100 matches State level) should be allowed to represent.

I am not a fan of Niranjan Shah, at all, but if one needs to hold a bat to be involved with BCCI matters, a big majority of the present and former BCCI officials (including Jagmohan Dalmia) would not qualify to hold positions in the cricket administration!
