Going on and on...
by prabhu on Jun 19, 2008 12:09 PM

Players critizise...
Some cricket fans abuse him....
Australians cry that he is chucking.....
Murali takes everything with a smile. ...
These people will not stop speaking..but...
by the time Murali would have crossed 1000 wickets.
Nothing can stop Murali getting to that landmark.
He is polite, decent, humble....exactly opposite to Australian or English players.

Sant gyanni
by Sandeep Bajpai on Dec 06, 2007 03:57 PM  | Hide replies

Hi all,
I found that this guy called "sant gyanni" is a highly arrogant and cheap individual who keeps insulting people using foul language and abuses them for the region or geography they belong to. He uses cheap words and always tries to thrust his views on the readers. In an elite and educated forum, i think such guys should be banned. I have tried to answer him back, but i discovered that in that process, i am demeaning myself, as all that will have no impact on this guy. So i thought i will initiate this topic for discussion and let the group moderators decide what is best.

I have mentioned that i also tried to answer him back but i discovered that i am demeaning myself, i was also behaving badly, which is not my style. Hence i decided to make people take a call. There is no politics/ washing dirty linen and all friend. If you really want to delve deep, try differing to his opinion some day. And u will find out whether i am right or not. I used those words for him in answer to the words used by him for me (unfortunately most of those have been removed as reported abuse).

Unfair Advantage
by Ashwin Sardeshpande on Dec 05, 2007 12:10 PM  | Hide replies

Murli definitely has unfair advantage due to his bowling action. The doctors claim that there is a disorder in his arm, but this disorder is what gives Murli the distinct advantage over the other off-spinners. Murli is a WRIST spinner who bowls off spin while all the other off-spinners are FINGER spinners. It is impossible for anyone to bowl off-spin by using his wrist with a straight arm. Its possible for leg-spin but IMPOSSIBLE for off-spin. You can only do it by bending your arm. No wonder Bishen Singh Bedi calls Murli a shot-putter. And this action not only gives him twice the spin that the other normal off-spinners get, but it also gives him that extra bounce and rip of the pitch. Yes, his action falls within the limits set by ICC , but in that case I simply disagree with the ICC for setting such limits. Even with the naked eye we can clearly see Murli's arm bending. ICC should not create such new rules or limits inorder to accomodate the physical disorders of certain players (Shoib Akhtar included too)as such disorders give them an unfair advantage. Sorry Murli, but for me Shane Warne is the greatest bowler...

I fully agree with you. The doosra he bowls cant be called legal. He might have been cleared by ICC, but what is Icc? It is not a sacrosant body, but consist of men whose judgement is subjective.

ZZZ ..his vicious turn is due to that action. You remember he bowled leg spin with a clean action when Darrel Hair called him for chucking ..how will you explain that?

by Great Khali on Dec 05, 2007 11:58 AM  | Hide replies

what is class? Warne was a person who accepted bribe to under perform about few years ago... he used drugs while playing World Cup and i am sure u know he was banned for a year... beyond cricket he is a womaniser... In NO way he is near the class of murali who is 100% clean in every way... Those who say Warne is a class player must be 100% insane!!!

He has the best strike rate against Bangla :-).He was not that successful against India in test and same against Pak too ..took majority of his wickets in the square turners of Sri Lanka 440 odd wickets. He was least successful in Aus ..followed by South Africa..

WHY DOES EVERYONE WASTE TIME DISCUSSING ABOUT MURALI ACTION, WHEN THE DECIDING AUTHORITY ICC HAS CLEARED MURALI OF HIS ACTION, WHO ARE U AND I TO COMMENT ON HIS ACTION, WE MUST HAVE NEVER EVER WATCHED HIS BOWLING ACTION FROM A CLOSE RANGE. FELLOW CRICKETS WHO HAVE PLAYED AGAINST MURALI HAVE CALLED HIM UP AND WISHED HIM INCLUDING SHANE. THEY THEMSELVES ARE NOW NOT COMMENTING OF HIS ACTION WHO ARE YOU'LL TO DO SO
THESE DEBATES WILL NEVER BE AN HINDRANCE TO MURALI FEATS.
MURALI WILL CROSS THE MARK OF 1000 WICKETS WITH EASE, LETS WISH HIM GOOD LUCK.

You knows I knows and the ppl who played with him knows its illegal ..and ICC clearing it ..it has lot to do with the clout of sub continent at ICC. Why they changed the rules to 15 degrees? How can one bowl legspin with normal action and off spin with illegal action? Remember thatz what Murali did when Hair called him for chucking years back ..

Class vs Centiment
by manju nath on Dec 05, 2007 10:40 AM  | Hide replies

Really one way it is happy becz murali has surpassed warne, becz he is asian, but when coming to class no bowler[spinner] on the earthe who matches Warne, but if we weigh on centimental feelings, murli stood first , asian, indian origin, difficult to weigh indeed...

Murlidharan cannot match SHANE WARNE
by ravi on Dec 05, 2007 10:29 AM  | Hide replies

Murlitharan cannot match the class of Shane Warne. Look at Shane Warnes wicket. He has taken these wickets on live tracks bowling in company with the legends like Glen Mcgrath, Gilllespie, Bret Lee. If Murlitharan had been in australian team he would not have managed even 350 wickets also.
