Bedi, the spineless cricketer..........
by Kumaraswamy Pillay on Dec 04, 2007 06:27 AM

Bedi the sore loser did not get any crumbs from BCCI, hence he goes out and shouts to anyone who cares to listen about what he feels. The truth is that no one but aussies are willing to listen because he is abusing two bowlers about whom aussies dont exactly have pleasant thoughts. He is the same guy who during his playing days, when as a captain refused to come out to bat and prevented other lower order batsmen to bat against the fearsome westindian pace bowlers. If he was so afraid of getting hurt, why was he playing test cricket in the first place. He could have sit at home and watched it in TV. Bedi saga in west indies was one of the most spineless episode and such a spineless coward who spoiled the name of the country has no right to comment about players who bought laurels to their country and whom million countrymen love. Look at Anil Kumble, he showed how to play a test cricket match with spirit. After getting his jaw cracked, he played with 15 stitches in his jaw and got Lara's wicket to go with it. Bedi stop shouting your non-sense or else next time we will shut your hole.

BEDI MEANS IMPOTENT
by Sundarkashyap on Dec 03, 2007 09:22 AM

The name says it all. In Tamil Bedi means impotent. When the supreme body says, you must accept it. Can he call BRETT LEE as chucker? No whites had been blamed so far. Why? BEDI wants his name in print/electronic media and makes such allegations. Let him shut all his 9 holes and remain at home.

Bedi

Bedi is way outdated, he is unemployed and repeats this allegation periodically to hog media limelight. We may even presume that his puritanism is inspired by jelousy towards spin bowlers who are better performers than him, especially Murli.

The ICC did not have the guts to stick with banning Murali permanently. And he is right that Harbhajan has bent elbow but less pronounced than Murali. The unfortunate part of Shane Warne retiring is allowing Murali to be #1 wicket taker with bent elbow. The ICC needs to revoke the 15 degrees rule. Also liek Shane warne says neasure Murali in live competition. There should be an asterisk against Murali's 700 wickets.

Yes unfortunate shane, he even gone for drugs to get the #1 position, all in vain. I think we shold encourage drugs instead of chuking to produce good cricketers.

ok, then i claim that even shane warne should have been tested in match conditions. He also bowled lot of unusual balls and many people i knew had doubts how he could do it. The truth is that every successful fellow has a murky side. Its only that the aussies will jump at you if you dare accuse warne or brett lee. If warne will come out of retirement and prove he is ok then the same can be done on murali also

Bedi, you are barking up the wrong tree !!!
by ...Anish... on Dec 02, 2007 10:17 PM

ICC is shying away from tackling the widespread issue of "chucking" head on and hence these weird regulation about degrees. Its next to impossible for the naked eye to calculate precisely the amount of bending that happens when a bowler bends his arm. However, its equally easy to say whether a bowler chucks or not in a general manner of speaking. And that's what matters! Hiding behind technicalities is akin to a criminal using the loopholes in the law to get away from the punishment. Murali, Shoaib, Harbhajan and (occasionally) Brett Lee are all "offenders" falling in this category. Poor Bedi, he can shout from the roof tops but unless ICC decides to crack the whip, he will continue to come across as a disgruntled, frustrated "has been".....

Murali no match for Warned
by ...Anish... on Dec 02, 2007 10:02 PM  | Hide replies

And that's precisely one of the biggest reasons why Murali will never be a match for Warne. Even though Murali will overtake Warne any moment now; no matter what Warne did outside the cricket field, atleast on the field nobody could accuse him of being a chucker!

by Sohaan Subhankar on Dec 02, 2007 09:02 PM

Give a break to this guy yaar.. i mean give him a break as a comentetor or something that's connected to cricket because this poor guy is job less and he desparately looking for a job.. that's the reason why he is barking.. he is lucky that people ignoring him and his remarks.. like one Ranatunga said.. leave bedi alone with is remarks.. that doesnt count as well. I am sure bedi really want to make some noise to attract some job oppurtinity.
