Second test Ball no 87.6 Shoaib Akhtar to Ganguly, no run, The bouncer gets Ganguly in an tangle. It was rearing up at his left shoulder, he tries to withdraw his bat at the last minute but is late. The ball hits the bat and pops up close on the leg side and Shoaib can't reach it. Ganguly was off balance as he played that stroke and staggered back as he made contact Ball bo 112.2 Shoaib Akhtar to Ganguly, FOUR, dropped by Yasir Hameed at gully. It was a screaming bouncer from round the stumps and Ganguly fended it in an ungainly fashion and it pops up to the right of Yasir who dives but can't hold on. It was not travelling fast but it was some distance to his right and he couldn't hold on
Shoaib is very clearly checking....ICC doesn't have the guts to stop this... Both Dravid and Ganguly have done well for India...but technically Dravid is much superior to Ganguly. The way Ganguly plays the pull shots, Australia will easily exploit it. Lets not debate on who is great when they play on these lifeless dead tracks...Lets see in Australia !!!

avid came out to bat when the score was 0/1, so he had to get India to a reasonable score, which he did, along with Wasim Jaffer. He was given out wrongly, and he could have gone on to make a hundred. Ganguly batted extremely well, but he came in when India were already 300 plus, in a different situation. Shoaib chucks, but he bowls his heart out, and is a great player for pakistan. He always has a smile on his face, and is a great sportsman. Why don't we appreciate all of them, and agood contest between the bat and ball...!
Dravid got out to a very good delivery...and the looser..doesnt have gutts to come out in open and say ...shoaib chucks,,,,expressed displeasure over that delivery....
Like the way ganguly acknowledged shoaib's effort....inspite of the fact shoaib got ganguly out so many times during this series...
this shows..who is the sportsman here...and who..is playing for himself....

check how many times there..was someone else who scored in this matches....
based on current form....not the past... Dravid failed in south africa.. Dravid failed in England.. Now on a batting wicket he took 120 balls..for his 50...can we imagine the torcher if he had scored a 100...
its time for dravid to open...so we can play yuvraj in the middle order...
My friend....back to point u missed...Dravid...got out to shoaib and didnt have enough gutts to come out and say shoaib chucks....the reason he got bowled is not shoaib chucks...but he missed the ball.

are u saying dravid cant bat i think u dont understand cricket.he got 233not out and 73 not out in adeliade thats y we won. remember also he scored 270 and we won so if he bats so slowly we shouldnt have won both. i lke dravid and gang but dont talk nonsense. he is the only cricketer to have scored centuries against all in their country.

Dear Sanjay on or whatever your name is.. I have read most of your comments and for a change try to be appreciative and supportive to people. Ganguly was praising the dedication and determination of Shoaib and thats very good of him. I like people who are appeciative and praise others for their positives. I DEFINITELY THINK THAT YOU AND OTHERS LIKE YOURSELF SHOULD LEARN TO BE MORE APPRECIATIVE!

Ghosh hes just trying to prove his pseudoloyality to dravid and pseudonationalism against shoiab! he does not know that shoiabs arm bends as its congenital abnormality! hes been cleared by ICC not by bribing but by testing.another pak bowler shabbir was banned as he had a chuck he modified his action.bhajji was cleard too after modifications and murali was as well cleared! its a sign of a big player to appreciate ur opinion!even if ganguly hadnt said that wudnt make shoiab's fade away everyone knew he battled hard! for shoiab the best batsman is tendu LOL he appreciates him even if he doesnt do it that wont take away the greatness of tendu! I am from pak and have seen in this tour that both teams are playing the cricket as cricket!and a very good relation is there!its just becoz they appreciate each other!Maradonna scored a goal with his hands "hand of God" it wasnt a goal but does that take away his supremacy in football? Dravid other deniors felt he chucks Ganguly out of Enimity with Dravid bats for Shoaib.
Same way as Eden Garden crowd supported South Africa when Ganguly was dropped for worst form. Now as Ganguly is in they prepared this pitch. Where were you that time dear?

Maybe Dravid's complaining because he didn't get a hundred where so called 'lesser players like Jaffer, Sourav and VVS did'. Given Dravid's test records I agree that he has piled up a lot of runs for HIMSELF and the Country. Given the pace at which he plays I'm sure he will come across a hundred when he is not playing a Shoaib or a Brett Lee or any bowler who can swing the ball(his dismissals were embarassing against minnows like Zimbabwe before the Chappell fiasco started). ;) But GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES KEEP PRESENTING THEMSELVES. One other thing about EDEN GARDENS is, if the pitch was made keeping Ganguly's ton in mind then such a thing could have been done long back in the 'Dalmiya Era' to make Ganguly get a century. One other thing about the statement made about Ganguly's form, he had a century against himself and two gritty performances against pakistan in a test where all the other cricketing Demi-gods like sachin(went down on all fours to Asif) and 'The WALL' was full of holes caused by inswingers LOL. Still Ganguly was dropped. Let's not kid ourselves about the reason. He was the best captain. Changed the face of India's Cricket. A demure nation of submissive cricketers roared like a herd of lions under one man....GANGULY. Bettering his personal records or not he successful in doing one thing make India a TEAM
