After seeing the current one day series people would have realized how correct Chappel was when he made those observations about the Indian team and particularly Ganguly. How difficult it is for the present Captain to play with such players who are bent on playing in spite of the poor showings and doing politics. I have ample proof of how the media controlled by the people coming from the region as the previous Captain went for Dravid,s blood even after knowing that he was awarded the best player trophy during 2004-05 and still ranks amongst the best. Warne has correctly mentioned that Dravid should have been handed over the Captaincy long back. Dravid has proved on several occasions why he is better than Ganguly by winning the domestic Challenger trophy matches as Captain by his own performance and Ganguly on the other hand has never performed that well. One may go and search data if necessary. I have seen the Star Ananda ( local Channal)and was not amused when they were always criticizing Dravid . Even if Dravid performs badly now one cannot blame him. I thought that those who have no 'work culture' have no 'culture' at all. Even the North Indians have a sort of hatredness against the southerners either because of their better performance or the inferiority complex generated therein. We have spent more than 2 lack crores on the refugees from North and East India as if people in other regions are rich.The country will never produce any thing better because you cannot believe

Whatever armchair critics say winning in cricket is about bowling out opponents and not batting (except 20-20). Sourav nurtured bowlers to Zaheer-Nehra-Balaji-Bhajji-Kumble combine. India were respectable. But Dravid played politics with Zaheer-Kumble-Bhajji-Sreesanth using them for winning and dumping them for his personal whims. Very sad such a great cricketer is indulging this with his cronies
I have to fault Dravid for his cricket understanding. In the last match fielding was not the reason for 212. Ganguly tried to slog after being criticised for scoring 72 runs which the juniors couldn't (a composed 50 off 80 balls from him could have given the substance). Karthik froze. Dravid scratched. Dhoni missed everything. Then England batted madly and when Collingwood was run out at 114-7, it was not fielding but poor bowling cost us the match. While Bopara and Broad added 100 Dravid ignored the man with a golden arm SG, who is the partnership breaker, just to justify bowling 3 spinners (with Yuvi-SRT) on a bouncy wicket where many batsmen got out hooking.

If Ganguly is so good then why past great players do not mention his name but they have great respect for Dravid and Warne correctly mentioned that Dravid should have been handed over the Captaincy long ago. Even in domestic matches whenever Dravid has confronted with Captaincy he has always performed well whether it is Challenger trophy or team selection matches. This is not the case with Daddy.
Let us see where we lost. Poor batting of Karthik, Dhoni, Gambhir and profligate bowling by Agarkar (4-60 in a low scoring match is terrible), Chawla and Pawar. If they had contributed a bit, it would be 3-1 and not 1-3. Also, Dravid the lucky man should have blindly batted 4 times (2-2) instead of 2 times (1-1). His choice of fielding was wrong twice which helped England win both those matches convincingly.

Again our captain has lost his words.Fielding did not let the team down.CAPTAINCY left us down.When you have 7 batsman out,you have to attack and get the remaining 3.Not give them lollipops of piyush and pawar to get settled when the asking rate was just 3.5.This is maybe 100th match where india have removed the top 7 and struggling to take the remaining to close the match.Not sure what the so called seniors were doing in the field.Either way, they get the match fees, good fotos, good hotels to stay.Why should they be bothered about the millions who stay late to watch the match finally to be disappointed and .... no words to say... Better for ST,SG,RD and AA to quit ODI.Get some young blood.Why is Rohit sharma,uthappa and gambhir taken. For sightseeing the city of london. Irresponsible team management to say the least.
Do you have any idea what cricket is and Do you know what captaincy is? Captain does hold a special tag. He is not just a player like 11 others. But he also decides who bowls, who bats where and who fields where. We never said Dravid is a bad player. But we always have said dravid is a bad captain.
Do you want to know why I call dravid a bad captain?, Number 3 position in Cricket game is very vital. You cant experiment karthick in that position. You need someone like Dravid he himself to bad or ask yuvraj to bat.
Also playing with just 4 players and 2 wicket keepers and 5 bowlers is a stupid concept. Ofcourse only captain has all the rights to pick the team he wants. So again he does the mistake of picking wrong team. Can you pick a pilot while you are in the ship and ask him to navigate? You may say he had a discussion in team meetings and senior players. No matter whatever meeting you have with anyone. Its you, the captain who has the final authority to choose what you want? So you take complete responsibility while choosing the best eleven. If you think you have not been given proper team or can%u2019t do your job. Just resign from your captaincy and play as a batsman.
I do not understand your concept of always saying something against Seniors? I really want to know what is your problem with seniors in the team. All the seniors have done well in 2007 so far. Ganguly has 897 runs at an average of 53. Dravid has an average of 744 at an ave

Mr Nandu, You do not expect Dravid to hold the flag of the Indian team till he leaves. It is high time he took chances which he alone is capable of before the whole team collapses. We have to prepare playersfor the next few years when Dravid the best of the lot will retire.

Good to see the seniors having done well in 2007, but where is the result.there is no point in someone having 15K and 12K and 10K runs in the runs column,when they r not able to score runs fastly against a 2nd string english attack.Guess what would have happened if Harmison,hoggard,simon jones,flintoff were fully FIT for the entire series.We could have tkaen the flight long time back giving them the trophies.No point in having average,runs,strike rate greater than any other batsman, when the result is always on the negative side.

coming to kaarthik's promotion to number 3, it was not a experiemnt, but to give a chance to an youngster.
Dravid knows that someday these youngsters need to play at that position and he is trying to figure out who can be the best man.
thats what I said having no patience. You give chance to youngsters only in 3 or 4 matches and say you are gone.

Good. if every captian have to follow this in India, no captain will be there for more than one series. No captain gets his own team in INdia. Thats the fate of the Cricket game in India.
Who said ..."Fielding let us down". Its the captain Dravid who let us down. Australia has 'Ricky Ponting" at number 3,Sri lanka has Sangakkara at number 3, South Africa has Kallis at number 3. Only INDIAN TEAM HAS DINESH KARTHICK AT NUMBER 3. I am not saying Karthick is bad. But Number 3 position is very vital to a team expecially when a wicket falls. Experienced players like Dravid or Yuvraj should come at number 3 and take the responsibillity of adding runs and not being panic, which you cant expect from Karthick. Second biggest mistake by Dravid. Every team in the world has atleast 4 bowlers and 6 PURE batsman and 1 wicket keeper atleast. Only in Indian team you can see only 4 pure batsman, 2 wicket keepers and 5 bowlers playing in a match. How can they win with this.Either have karthick as a wicket keeper batsman and drop dhoni or drop karthick and have dhoni as a wicket keeper batsman. This gamble of 2 wicket keeper playing in a match will never work. Rest Chawla or powar and play with one spin and 3 fast. But make use of Sachin, yuvraj and ganguly to full extend.

ganguly is not in exile, he is in the team ,i think u all should be kicked out of this board, have you ever succeeded always in all the thing in your life, be reasonable, and critisise, dont critisise for your ego to succeed or for show off.
