I read lot of messages demanding for sacking seniors like Sachin/ Saurav, Dravid. But the fact is there is no right replacement for them. Someone commented stating these players are stopping younger generation to enter international cricket. But the reality is when Ganguly dropped there are n number of youngsters tried and none of them grabbed the opportunity. Instead Ganguly came back strongly and proved his critics wrong. In the same forum (I mean rediff) I read 100s of messages against kaif.. raina... There are absolutely NO performers in domestic cricket who are performing consistently for 2 years. Then how can we expect the players of Sachin's stature gets replaced. Even if Sachin or Rahul plays at the age of 50 at current situation we can bet that they will do better than this young breed. We have 8 youngsters (if we say Sachin Rahul & Saurav are old)in the team. Why None of them are responsible for this defeat? the reality is we never won as a Unit (except 2003 WC performance). We always depend on Individual brilliance and the team always need Stars like Sachin or Saurav to perform even to win few matches. Let%u2019s hope players like Manoj Tiwari, Badrinath ,Rohit Sharma perform better and carry the burden that is carried by the three greats from Indian cricket for last 10 years. Why indian team required 5th bowler, play with 4 bowlers & rest 10 overs give to sachin, yuvraj & ganguly, jhan tak pitne ka sawal hai sabhi pite hai. aisey hi england 300rau nahin ban jate. aur phir sachin ne to 150 ODI wicket le chuke hai. jo ki ek regular bowler se bhi jyada hai. sawal hai kaptan ke bharose ka???????????????

We cannot win unless we remove sachin,saurav,zaheer...they bring the star culture in the team..where individual performances come before the team..u can always see that..when the pressure is on..saurav plays slowly cementing his place, sachin when it comes to 80s..starts playing awfully slow..thats a negative influence on the team...!!!remove them..of we do that we can beat even australia..

I partially agree with you...Sachin & saurav need to be removed.But I dont know why you want remove zaheer,In the last game india needed an early break through zaheer did the same.Zaheer is the best bowler in india as of now
All is not lost, guys. India will bounce back. Remember the exciting Indian win in IDI #2. India will win three in a row and clinch the series. They have the talent to do that.
After all these matches, I wonder if India has ever won a 7 match series ne where in da world? If I remember correctly, we lost to West Indies before the WC like 6-1 or was it 4-1 ??? Our players are no good for such big series...its da Aussies and the Pommies who r playing well in such series...be it a 5 Test match Ashes series or be it a Tri-Nation Natwest series.... Our team whose average age is greater than the total average runs/per match....should give way to youngsters now.... What sa guys?
If anybody knows how to convey information to our cricket team, please inform them not to forget basics in ODI. Take singles as many as and do more strike rotation to reduce pressure. I didn't see any singles from our top order batsmen in last four ODIs. They forgot basics. When do they learn like Australia? frustrated..
