Karthick is a good player at number 6 or 7 and a much better wicket keeper. He is misplaced by the captain as number three. Why was this dumb decision made for the second time in this series? This reminds me of Chappel putting Pathan as number three and ruining his career. Has Dravid lost his marbles? Keeping Utthappa and Gambhir on the bench, playing Yuvraj as number 5, keeping world class spinners like Kumble and Harbhajan out of team and playing likes of Agarkar in the team? Why? Why?
First of all, I praise him for trying his best in all circumstances. Wherever in the field or batting order or circumstances, he tries his best. Now, that does not mean that he is a batsman. Why you deny a genuine batsman by not playing Gambhir or Uthapa, who are surely better recognised batsmen? In the field, he is an oxymoron. Why is he in the team?
