Mr.FunSun, You should be called as biggest fool in the world. World is not going to end. On dec 21 2012, only mayan calender is going to end. dont make a fool of yourself without knowing the basis of that date
Venkatesh prasad is absolutely right. Anybody who watches Tv can definetely say he has no commitment,he looks he is not even concentrating in his own dept of bowling. people with this kind of attitude should never be given a chance. Even ZahirKhan i think he should also change his attitude he should remember he is just a bowler how can he kill Yuvis wicket yar . One should remember players become famous mainlt based on their commitment and attitude. If you look at the greatplayres list for ex Kapil,Imran,Richards,Hardly,Sachin etc.. its not just the talent their attitude & commitment helps them to become famous. I request all the talented guys to concntrate on their commitment too....

Thats why he is not that popular, but we should remember that he has turned the games many times in India favour, The wicket of amir shoial that he took against Pakistan has put an end to AmirShoial career.

Mind it Prasad was a pathetic bowler. That was the only instance (Amir Sohil) where he could manage to do so but after being banged here and there. How could u forget those blasts before he could take his wicket. At first place Prasad should be removed as a bowling coach.

And you should be appointed in his place.....Right?????.Come on he is only a coach. Its the players who have to perform on the field. But to do this they should be commited to their Nation and to the Game. But alas, our players are more commited towards their SPONSORS....Its a cancer which we cricket lovers should have to bear with

If that is the case "that Prasad is a mere coach and he cannot do anything"; then why Chappell was blamed for the world cup debacle? Theory is clear: Dravid wants venkey as he hails from Ka'ta. U could find the difference: Donald as a coach and how England bowling Department performs. Hence instead of appointing as a coach u need to check what u r saying and clear on that.
Selection of team is BIZZARE. Select youngsters who are good in atleast two departments of the game. This is mordern day cricket and the selectors are selecting teams for their generation. not one in the present team can dive full lenth to stop the ball.Even yuvraj and karthick have stopped diving due to injuries. They should learn the right way to dive.Rohit dived to stop a few balls in the second ODI.It made a difference to the team. Its time we find allrounders with a good knowledge about Bowling and batting.Mainly bowling(like shuan pollock)
1. Sachin 2. Utthapa/Gambhir 3. Dhoni/Dravid (Dhoni if first wicket gets down say after 10 overs; and Dravid if gets down in first 5 overs) 4. Yuvraj 5. Dravid/Dhoni 6. Saurav (can stabilize the inings, if needed) 7. Rohit Sharma/Karthik 8. Ramesh Powar 9. Piyush chawla 10. Zaheer Khan 11. RP Singh
Cricket think tank should not get bogged down to chilly whether in Manchester. Our remaining fast bowlers (Munaf/Agarkar) are themselves not sure where they are going to bowl, so better warm the bechnes.
RE:My pick of 11
by Prabhakar Joshi on Aug 30, 2007 04:41 PM
I will prefer 3 rd place to Ganguly. as this is the place where stabality needs, yuvi is good finisher so replace him at 6, with 4-5 dravid dhoni respectively.

Good team..But I prefer Irfan instead of R.Powar.Also Ganguly should partner Sachin at the top.Uthappa at3,Dravid/Irfan at 4,Yuvaraj at 5,Dravid/Irfan at 6,Dhoni at 7,Rohit at 8.The last 3 as you have mentioned
Hi guys, what do you think about casteism in Indian cricket? Sachin, Saurav, Dravid, Kumble, Ajit Agarkar, Dinesh Karthick, VVS Lakshman%u2026the list is long of players belonging to the same caste. Though they are all fine players, does their permanent presence mean favoritism?
RE:Casteism?
by rajesh t on Aug 31, 2007 01:01 PM
Come on...Although the facts given are correct, Dont create a communal problem.Already the team is filled with players who are more committed towards their sponsors than the team,BCCI delegates are more concerned about their pockets getting filled than the state of Indian cricket....Now over this please do not create a communal problem with such comments....

Good one .. Why don't U demand for reservations also? Based on Cast and religion. May be we can demand ICC also even if player from reservation scores 10 runs it should be considered as century. Where is Lakshman playing ..? Did Munaf replayed Sreeshanth or Sreeshanth replaced Munaf? Its better if u start thinking beyond Cast & religion....

by Karuppaswamy on Aug 30, 2007 05:00 PM
"Fight for right" should be our breathing air but you have to prove your worthiness. for example sewag was given lot of chances and uthappa is yet to prove his performance. so first prove then we will fight!

Irfan , Munaf out - sreesanth,Agarkar In ? brahmin Sehwag, kaif out - Karthik In ? brahmin Majority journalists in Indian cricket media - brahmins. Cricket in india has always been a brahmin(suits the temparament) sport so others are just wasting their time. Commentators - Shastri,Gavaskar -brahmins
The reason I took Rohit sharma is I want him to bowl minimun 5 overs, if he bowls well can be continued or Yuvraj and Ganguly can share rest of the overs. If Rohit bowls well then we will have chance to pick a batsman who can bowl 10 overs.I might even think of bowling uthappa to see how he goes if he bowls well then he can be in the team reguarly.India do not have allrounders we have to make them by opportunities for them to bowl.
Sreeshanth is anytime better than Munaf and ideal for the seaming conditions in England. His spells were impressive except the second test in this series. He was omitted from the team just for being aggressive, which I think is a good approach to tackle english players.

munaf is better than sreesanth, sreesanth should have been an actor...wrong choice of profession...it's just a matter of munaf finding form...

Please put ur gray matter in use while commenting. Great players don't always make great coaches. Here Prasad is selected not because he was a great bowler but bcoz he has undergone a bowling trainer's course. That he represented india also went in his favor.

There are millions of people undergoing bowling training course. Does that mean everybody should get a chance?
