What Kapil Dev has done for criket no other sportsman has achieved. He put India on the World center stage. 25yrs later no other Captain even come close. Today cricket is the greatest social, cultural unifier in India. If BCCI is the richest Cricket board today it is because the game is loved by 1.4 billion people and it is the the only Indian World Cup winning team lead by Kapil that reached the hearts of every Indian making them proud as a team and country. It brought joy to the country stuggling with poverty and misery. The kind of sportman spirit Kapil as a captain evoked has not been replicated so far. Thats why we have great Indian players but not a great team. All credit to Kapil making the effort to go beyond borders to promote the game. If another billion become crazy about cricket... Imagine what it will do for commerce,trade tourism friendship ! It will become the livlihood of atleast half a billion more. Noone can be paid enough to do what Kapil has done and continues to do. He has taken it upon himself to fight the system and loosen the grip of one organisation so more players benifit.The BCCI players earnings doubled overnight! The world honors our legends and BCCI sacks them! What an irony! Thankgod atleast the Indian judiciary is upholding our dignity. For only in healthy competition can we thrive. Keep up the good work Kapil. Be the Ambassador of Goodwill to the world!
As China is outstanding in all areas...i think this is the only game they are not concentrated on...and now on China will be the super power in cricket.
kapil dev has his brains in his knees.Look at how he is lashing out at Dravid, gavaskar, Shastri etc.He is just a frustated man not knowing what to do. Will he please tell us his contribution to NCA? Obviously some commie politicians will be backing him to try this foolish venture. all these guys talk of national interest etc,this is all nonsense---only money is the criteria.

Why is India promoting anything in enemy country. India promoted IT in China and it will soon become number1 in IT. Already Lenovo is number1 IT hardware company in India. China openly gives nukes and missiles to pakistan. China fights India with direct help from its proxy Pakistan. India is going to the dogs.

Now, only about half a dozen nations are playing cricket competitively and if it becomes like soccer, we will go down on a slippery path and forget about qualifying for WC knock out stage.

Kapil should do a cost benefit analysis before lighting the fire of may be no return. We can get burned. If USA starts playing the "gentleman's game", the beefy players can endanger the spectactors in the stands.
