BCCI IS A BUNCH OF SELF CENTRED CORRUPT PEOPLE
by meenakshi verma on Aug 27, 2007 02:57 PM

What BCCI has done for the players so far?If they have been really impartial in selection till date, really encouraged the talented ones, really tried to maintain the status of cricket in high esteem among indians etc etc?If the answer is really affirmative then why BCCI is fearing ICL?Who really commands BCCI?Have they been a players of yester years?Does so called Sharad Powar really knows ,where the gully point located at?How much they spend on upgrading the standard of cricket? Why they r looking for funds now for an academy?SC and Govt shud support ICL in terms of healthy competition for the benefit of cricket.

SHAME ON BCCI
by Hansraj Chahar on Aug 26, 2007 01:46 AM

This is completely a wrong decision by BCCI to sack Kapil from Chairmanship of NCA and bar those young cricketers from playing national team. Who will say, it is good for Indian Cricket. When BCCI cannot ban cricketers from playing county cricket in England. How can they ban anyone who is playing for any other club in India itself. It hardly matters from which part of India a Cricker comes and which club he plays, as long as the team bring home the World Cup. If BCCI is here to bully the young cricketers and if BCCI donot have any respect for the lone World Cup winning captain of India then BCCI is no more required to be in India. BCCI should better find some other place but not in India.
I suggest to the honourable court to ask BCCI to revert its both decisions and also ask for the opology for hurting sentiments of Kapil and other cricketers plus all cricket loving people of India. If not, then there should be a complete ban for use of National flag by the team of BCCI and a new organisation under the supervision of purly cricketers (and no politicians) be formed to select a National Team. Since BCCI is now a non cricket supporting body then there should be a thorough check of its accounts and they should be asked to pay the income tax honestly like any othe private organisation in India. My good wishes to Indian Cricket and Kapil.

Mr.Pawar - Please denounce politics, if u r so serious about cricket.
by Francis Louis on Aug 25, 2007 03:11 PM

We common people fail to understand, when our players can play in County Cricket and foreign players can play in Ranji Trophy, why BCCI is putting all kind of restraints / obstacles on the path of the players joining ICL.

ICL is good for INDIAN cricket. Our Local lads will get the opportunity to play side by side with the likes of Brian Lara, Kluesner and others, at a very early stage of their career.

This will only develop more young talents in our country.

And who else can handle this kind of responsibility other than our great KAPIL PAJI.

NO ONE CAN QUESTION HIS COMMITMENT FOR INDIAN CRICKET.

How dare Mr.Pawar and his bunch of jokers sack him?

Mr.Pawar you have come to BCCI - not for improving indian cricket but because of your lust for money.

What have you done in terms of improving Indian cricket, in the last so many months, after defeating Mr.Dalmiya?

The answer is known to all cricket lovers - practically NOTHING. Your SOLE AIM was to finish off Mr.Dalmiya's career, so that you remain at the helm of calling shots at BCCI.

If you truly love cricket, then show your guts by resigning from politics.

If you can't, then just GET OUT from BCCI board immdtly.

I request all former & present cricketers to come forward and support KAPIL PAJI's ICL, to teach lesson to Mr.Pawar that because of cricketers BCCI exists and not vice versa.

BCCI's dirty politics
by Narayanan Sangameswaran on Aug 24, 2007 10:07 PM  | Hide replies

What right does BCCI has to stop pension of players? Can one org threaten its employees with dire consequences if they move to another? Is it not good for Indian cricket to have another competitive league? If BCCI is truly interested in Indian cricket they should embrace ICL.

Well Ive seen this attitude in the companies I have worked for. Those dicks dont even give a recommendation letter and give bad evaluations if they know you are leaving. BCCI is just following the natural trend in a country which has become a haven for crabs pulling each other down. Its high time Indian Organizations learnt some class. This goes to all the big software giants in India who are shortsighted losers and get no respect from the cream of the Indian intelligentsia.
