Sania the sc*um!
by Pramit Roy on Aug 24, 2007 08:38 PM

When Sania Mirza first burst on the scene in 2004 by reaching the 4th round of the US open, everybody expected great things from her!!
She was hailed as the next big star on the horizon!!
But unlike greats like Sachin Tendulkar and PT Usha, she allowed success to go to her head!!

If whatevet talent she had, that all went down due to her swollen attitude and poor behaviour with the media!!
the media went on hyping her up, only for her to disappoint in every major slam by losing in 1st or 2nd round of all majors!!
All the while, she continued to throw attitude at the media and learnt to fake an american accent!!
In 3 years, most rising stars in women's tennis go from strength to strength, atleast reaching the last 8 or quarters in most majors!!
But Sania has not been able to do that; modesty is surely important, esp. when she has a lot to be modest about!!
If she discards her arrogant attitude, she will surely proceed beyond the 2nd round of majors, maybe with luck, she may even make it to the 4th round again!!

RE:Sania just a media created overhyped loser

Dunno about her accent but you are right about her attitude, that sucks big time! Modesty and Sania are poles apart!
Btw Prabodh, where is that barking ca*ni*ne by the name of asd asd????

His performance in England was just coz may b he was having gud luck ...

The time his good luch ended he'll be smashed to all corners again ...

One can say Zaheer is excellent only when he's able to perform the Best with Aussies ...

AMAZING THAT OUR GUYS SPEAK SO HIGHLY ABOUT INDIANS...
by ALIRIO SALDANHA on Aug 21, 2007 10:00 PM  | Hide replies

The undiluted truth is that the Aussies call a spade a spade. They have no qualms about speaking about other players and teams, and if they feel they think that someone has potential, we say it.

That's the difference about an out-spoken team; albeit, the ranting on the field; our blokes are honest fellos.

Remember Shane Warne saying that he was getting nightmares, with Sachin's bAtting!!!!!!!!!
If any Indian would say that - his house would be burnt down!

Well, the only problem with India/ians is that they are very timid, conservative, reserved, and not out-spoken, like the Australians, Englishmen, the Americans.

I don't know if it is long colonial rule that has made the Indians the way they are, but looking at history of the world, the shape of things are based on the PAST!

IT'S GREAT THAT LEE HAS REGARDED ZAHEER HIGHLY, AND HE HAS SPOKEN FOR THE TEAM. A GOOD INDICATION ON WHOM THEY SEE AS A POTENTIAL THREAT IN THE FORTHCOMING SERIES!

WHEN THE INDIANS SPEAK OUT, A LA DRAVID, THE INDIANS TEAR HIM TO PIECES. HE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO WILL SPEAK OUT FRANKLY, AND WITH NO DISTINCTION TO COLOUR, RACE, OR WHATEVER THAT PLAGUES THE INDIAN PSYCHE.
TENDULKAR WAS AN OUTSPOKEN PERSON TOO, THOUGH HE WAS VERY DOCILE AND MILD.
GANGULY COULD NOT SPEAK AT ALL.

GAVASKAR SPEAKS TODAY, BUT, IN HIS DAYS - HE SPOKE WITH HIS BAT, WITH GREAT ACHIEVEMENT! PEOPLE REMIND THE 36 RUNS IN 60 OVERS. HEY, WHEN WERE INDIA CONSIDERED A TEAM TO RECKON, with in those days?

AL in Australia

well said jasmeet!!! im not sardar, im not even a north indian but i agree sardars are wonderful people and have accomplished wonderful things in whatever country they live in.

for example, here in australia indians had bad reputation mainly because of cheap gujju mentality gujratis and wierd south indians [im a south indian myself by the way]. it was only when educated punjabis and sardars from chandigarh, delhi, ludhiana, gurgaon, jallandhar etc started coming here that indians were treated with respect.

not being a sardar or a punjabi, i salute SARDARS and SIKHS [i dont know if there is any difference between the two]

i know many people would ridicule my comments but as u said they would are 'napunsak' jo apni dono taango ke beech latke huye dimaag se sochte hain
