It is time for BCCI to become proffessional.
Hope politician stop heading it.
Hope polictics in BCCI ends.
Real talent should get paid

Sir please look after either agriculture or cricket.
Both are not performing under you.
They were stars at one time.

I support ICL
by Kali Das on Aug 23, 2007 07:18 PM

I fully support ICL. ICL is good for indian cricket. Players will get chance. And all of us will get chance to see more cricket. It is totally win-win situation.

BCCI should change their attitude. BCCI should show sportsmanship. Let other club play the cricket.

by hitesh sharma on Aug 23, 2007 12:54 PM

Sacking Kapil is like spitting the sun. The spit lands on the face of the spitter.

As if Kapil is bothered. He is busy shapin g ICL.

BCCI is making rash comments and decisions.

Heading for trouble as the head is also in trouble

ICL able to score
by Crick fan on Aug 23, 2007 04:00 AM

All the controvercies around formation of ICL, ICL associates like Kapil, Madan Lal, Patil etc are able to present them selves better infront of the media. On the otherhand BCCI has collectivly has shown there arrogance, adamant stand. Even without playing a single match ICL seems to be gaining pionts.
Certain aspects like stopping players pensions has been a stupid decision. BCCI has no derth of funds may be they could have left it untouched and played this card a later stage

ICL is good for Cricket. I don't mind match fixing if India wins always.
by pras move on Aug 23, 2007 12:21 AM

I don't mind if India wins always. ICC will be out of money if India does not play. Damn the Australians! We should fix games like how Major League Baseball, NFL, NHL, NBA fixes to make sure that the popularity of the game is not lost. No Indian will benefit if Team India wins (or) loses. But if there is a local league like ICL where local teams play all the marketing/sales associated with it make the local town/city rich, then who cares if Team India wins (or) looses. In USA people don't care if the national team looses in world basketball championship. They care more about their local NBA team. How can a country Bangladesh who learned everything from India can beat us in Cricket? We should fix the Game and ensure that India wins at least a worldcup (or) take Team India out and form ICL and sell it (Television rights) to same white men dominated countries and make more money and build Indian economy. In the current world cup final I saw a lot of sponsors are from India. We should not sponsor any sport that does not give you anything back. Damn the ICC! I like ICL and let it grow internationally like NBA and there will be lot of people getting employed since it is a private body devoid of politics.

Now I wonder..!! Was Manoj Prabhakar right???
by Hiren Bhavsar on Aug 22, 2007 02:19 PM  | Hide replies

Everyone remembers all controversies regarding betting and match fixing which had Azhar, Jadeja, Nikhil Chopra all fired by BCCI but interestingly The only person who came out clean in whole investigation is Kapil Dev..
I dont jump the gun..but the way all cricketers give so much importance to money (frnakly, which player in any game in the world doesnt!) is there a case that Prabhakr may have been offered 25 lakhs in 94 by Kapil Dev?
We all blaim ppl from Gavaskar to Azhar and Jadeja for being selfish and no saint etc..
why cant it be the same for Kapil Dev?
I am not saying Prabhakr was not currupt...but isnt there a fair chance that Kapil was currupt too?? May be he did have ambitions towards the end of his career?

Kapil shows his colors :(
by sandi Sansi on Aug 22, 2007 03:56 AM  | Hide replies

I believed Kapil is allabout sportsmanship, hardwork, talent et al., I also was an avid supporter of him , even when the betting scandal was at the peak and targetted him. Alas!By forming a parallel league with BCCI, and targetting the ex-superstars he has shown that he is no saint and would do everything provided the money is right. As my mind rewinds about the allegations levelled against him by Manoj Prabhakar, I am feeling very odd to dismiss the entire thing as a farcical allegation. I am not saying that Kapil did this to get money. In the bottom of our hearts, we know that this league has been formed only to leverage some 'dough' from the coffers of BCCI.

No limit for BCCI Hypocricy

Kapil has done one step better than what he did by winning WCUP and series in England,he has exposed the 75 yrs of Hypocricy in BCCI by doing this with a bold step, what nonsense is Srinivasan talking by saying BCCI will not stop anyone from joining anyone but not select those who join ICL,that in itself proves there is Monopoly and Discrimination,if he had said the best player will be selected to play for India no matter which club he plays for then it wouldve proved BCCI was fair,it was never fair and will never be fair until these foxes like Sunny Gavaskar or Srinivasan or Niranjan Shah or Shastri or people like Vengsarkar head the panels...sorry to say this but this is all Brahmin dominated organisations, wherever there is money and power the Brahmins take over, this is the sorry state of our country.

I support Kapil's deision to Join ICl.
That doesn't mean he can hold his post with BCCI.
Actually he should have resigned because right from beginning there was a conflict.
He still can teach youngsters in ICL

The brahmin issue is nonsense.
Who said all above players are Brahmins?
Is Pawar a brahmin? .
Is Indian Prime minister a Brahmin ?
Is Indian President a Brahmin?

A loser wants to find an excuse somewhere.
