WHO is CCI
by Prasad Waingankar on Aug 22, 2007 01:07 AM

who is bcci to ban indian nationals to represent india for Idian national cricket team. players r allowed to play with film stars and polyticians in some benefit matches, allowed to play ranji, allowed to english county, or even allowed to act in movies and do commercials, then why they r not allowed to play in ICL.

mr. shubhash chandra any way ur putting in 100s of crores in icl, give 10 crores to dog like pawar and all icl-vs-bcci conflicts will be solved automatically.

Three Jokers at helm of Indian Sports: Pawar, Priyaranjan Dasmunshi and KPS Gill
by sudeep sanyal on Aug 22, 2007 12:54 AM  | Hide replies

I think the one to be kicked out lock, stock and barrel should be a shrewed politician like Sharad Pawar who has no claim to fame and God knows what he is doing at BCCI. A man who can barely walk and talk, is the BCCI president!!! Can there be a kind of ban on politicians getting into cricketing body? The other joker around is Priyaranjan Dasmunshi who has made a mockery of Indian football and last but not the least KPS Gill for burying Indian hockey under mountain of shameful defeats. If only we had a chinese like justice system then these three would be dead meat by now.

Another joker you are forgetting is Arjun Singh, though he has nothing do with sports (Thank God) but when you said Pawar can barely walk or talk, Arjun falls in the same category and going by his deeds (Reservation Policy) he should be dead meat too. By the way....talking of "Barely Walking Politicians"...our good old Vajpayee will take the winners trophy....anybody with any better example?

An Apology Letter to Kapil Dev
by Aniruddha Agnihotri on Aug 22, 2007 12:43 AM  | Hide replies

Dear Kapil,
First of all let me extend my apologies for the treatment given to you by the BCCI. I am no one in the BCCI but being an ardent cricket lover and having grown up seeing you play cricket with so much integrity I feel its my moral responsibility to say sorry for this whole episode. The pictures of you holding the Prudential Cup in 1983 are still afresh in my mind and incidents like these are not going to erase it. I know you have always given you best to the country and this is certainly not something which you should receive in return. Your "Jigra" attitude has been something which has induced the fighting spirit in today's cricketers. You need no certificate from anybody to prove you as One of the best Cricketers. It would be only wise of some people realise this mistake they have done and restore the honour you rightly deserve.

Black Day in Indian Cricket
by Aniruddha Agnihotri on Aug 22, 2007 12:31 AM

Sacking Kapil!!!
Oh Lord!! Forgive them for they know not what they are doing ....
I would say this is a Black Day in Indian Cricket..The Man who is the only world Cup Winning Captain of India has been sacked by those who no nothing about Cricket.Kapil has been one of the Pillars of Indian Cricket and has been an inspiring figure to a lot of younger cricketers over past 2 decades. No one would doubt Kapil's integrity towards Cricket and now here are a bunch of "Administrators" who sack him..What a way to reward a person who has done us all proud in 1983,1986 and numerous other occasions...
This without doubt is the saddest day in the Indian Cricket and future would recognise this as a Black Day.
