Gr8 & Historic Win over SCOTLAND
by vijay on Aug 17, 2007 12:48 AM  | Hide replies

It was a great and historic win for India over Scotland. I expect President, Prime Minister and all the cabinet ministers of India to send a congratulatory message to Indian team for defeating Scotland. There should be a big celebration in India and all our cricketers should be bestowed with Padma Vibhushan atleast. This is the greatest gift the Indian cricketers can give to us on the eve of 60th anniversary of Independence. We should not blame always the Indian cricketers for loosing to Bangaladesh and other teams and getting kicked out of world cup tournament.
You must remember there is always a silver lining on the dark clouds. Though they lost to Bangaladesh and Sri Lanka, they created a history by defeating Bermuda

I would suggest make one one temple for the members of this team at each and every corner of India and worship them.

The artisans can decide the exact form of the Vigrah's

Some folks will come out with the relevant Mantra's custom made for each of them. This will generate quite a few jobs, a new bunch of Cricket Priest and Jajman.

Hi vijay, Well dude this is the most funniest message I ever read on the messageboard. I must admit that u have a great sense of humour . Keep it dude. Basically it shows ur desperation and helplessness towards the perfornmance of our so called paper-heroes who gets kicked out so often in crunch situations, isnt it?
But the publicity they get is tremendous which I think is basically our fault bcos we make them heroes for few heroics against minnnows.
Anyways this message and debate might go on as long as there is Indian cricket and as long as media keep on putting special attention on these fellows.
So keep up the good work and do post such funny messages.

So what?
by Sevaram on Aug 17, 2007 12:29 AM  | Hide replies

It should not be "India scored a comfortable ...".
It should be "BCCI scored a comfortable ...".

This kind of headline, clearly demoralizes, Soccer, Tennis, Badminton, Hockey players to name a few.

After 60 years of independece India should grow out of Cricket and be a global player in all fields of sports not just cricket.

Dump Cricket make way for all other sports with equal priority.
Jai Hind.

Considering the fact that all the other sports which u have named India plays miserably, so which sport would u like India to play now? "Gilli Danda" I suppose?

I am sure I read 'gil dandu' rather than 'gilli danda' so.. I guess he had set up his own variation of the game. I don't know what some Indians need from this cricket team. Heck yeah they won.. so just drop it dude.

Even the Scotland team we could not take them out in 46 overs. Imagine what is going to happen in ODIs against England which is starting in another 4 days time. Venky has got a job in his hand. If you notice Agarkar has bowled so many wides. Unless we are very strict with no balls and wides we will be looking down the barrel on many occasions. Similarly Robin Singh should make better fielders out of our bowlers.

Well done Dravid for your 10 runs. Good that Ganguly is not there otherwise he wouldn't have given you the chance to bat.

The Indian bowling was lousy.

Twenty six extras!!!

Set a field for the offside and they will bowl at least two balls on the leg side. There has been no change regarding this quirky behaviour for the past 30years. Why not accept the inevitable and keep the youngest player on the leg side on the boundary. Even if the fielder does not take any runs, he will have saved enough.

Munaf Patel is a very decent bowler. But he is a lazy fielder. When the ball is played to him he will allow the opposition one more run than the remaining players.

Whats in a Captain
by mallikarjuna on Aug 16, 2007 09:23 PM  | Hide replies

If Dhoni is to Captain India in the 20/20 next month, it would be, according to me, very good had Dhoni captained this match( and also the coming 7 ODIs with England). Otherwise, Dhoni, just happens to be a Captain in absentia, rather, than a Captain to be.
