Great inning
by G. Singh on Aug 17, 2007 09:27 AM

It was really a great inning and that to of not a minows but a well establised bowling attach called England. Great work Kumble we r proud of u. It would becomes more special if some right descision would have been taken and India won this test also.
I will not curse anybody and also dont want to involve myself in Rahul dravid's descision. I know it was wrong. But this is life and in India life is cricket or life main to galtee hotee hee hai, toh cricket main bhee ho gayee. The more we blame the less sweet our victory become, so guys just cheerup and enjoy.

really, itz a remarkable achivement for the indian jambo who has been waiting for such a long time. the indian pacemanspinner has atlast crossed his maiden century,so assamed for all those indian batsmen who has atlest score a halfcentury in the running match.no one whould had ever imagine tht a jambo can reach this achivement,so this is not only the achivement for kumble but for all indian players bcoz for the first time in England india has made such a big score.so go on and plz win the match & series by 2-0 that the last hope for in which we can live bcoz in such a score india hav never ever won a match specially in tests.

Well done Kumble

Well done on making the maiden test hundred. This is an icing on the cake on his wonderful career. When Kumble started his career in 1990 many people wrote that he would not last long in test cricket because he does not turn the ball. At that time Kumble told in the interview that for him the only thing that matters is taking wickets and bowling India to victory and that people would forget how much he turns (or does not turn) when he finishes his career with 400 wickets. He is now at 561 wickets and if he plays for a year or so could end up crossing 600. Truly an outstanding achievement from a selfless cricketer who has given everything to the team. Who can forget the scene in West Indies when came on to bowl with a bandaged face (after being hit while batting) and bowled 14 overs during which he got Lara out. He is a true champion and a jewel in the crown of Indian cricket. Hats off to Jumbo for your outstanding achievements, we salute you.

Awesome Sree

I loved Sree's innings more than anyone. He needs support and proper caring. He has lots of potential, but he has very fragile mind.

I am afraid he should not follow likes of Pathan, Nehara, Balaji.

I wish Balaji would come back.

I really like his performance in 2004's India and Pakistan series. I wish he could come back and destroy pakitan batting line again in this forthcoming November series.

Also, I am sure Pathan would make his way back soon. After all, Ganguly's determination has inspired part of Indian team or at least I hope so.

Live life Jumbo size!!

Kumble undoubtedly and indisputably is one of the best sports person for India and world cricket! He has silently won more matches for India than anyone else. More than 560 wickets is no mean achievement and a century just completes this mans' effort who has always (rightly said) put a price on his wicket. Jumbo was a superman even without this century, this century just reiterates our belief further 'how important and useful this one man can be without all those accolades and superstar status! Jiyo Kumble, you're the fighter Indian team always needed!

ithink kumble deserve this century because he is the only batsman who played timedly and correctly and he did not feared the fastness of the ball.he not only acheived this feat and contributed a patnership of 154 of last three wickets

Good Cricket!

At last, the famous Indian middle order scored it big, that too in consecutive test matches in an overseas pitch, that too against fast bowling which was rated far more superior to Indias' and against the same bowling attack which did all possible damage to the WI batsmen few weeks back.

The performance by the Indian team in this series, except the first match, was brilling... It's simply great. No one can take the sheen away from these performances.

There is no problem in not declaring the innings after crossing the 600 mark as India's scoring rate was good, which allows enough time to all out Englishmen twice and more runs on the board would always can add to the pressure of the England team... Let's hope that India can continue the good work in the coming one day series and the matches that follows...

And, there was one guy FunSun.. he was always shouting in favour of the England team... I think Kumble's bat shut his mouth as well as we don't see him here these two days..

if you r talking about Prior, the lesser we talk, the better for us. He is pathetic behind stumps with no footwork.
