India Pak cricket is no way close to Ashes,both these teams dont even have stamina to play a 5 Test series and keep it interesting,when was the last time these teams played a 5 test series like Aussies? Geoff Lawson just won the hearts of millions of naive fans of the subcontinent,all it takes is call these 2 teams as most talented and you get the coach post. to mahesh, not being racist here...but we got to accept this fact that every caste has its speciallity. brahmins are good in studies(they come toppers in IIT and every exam u take ) kshtriyas are good in courage and valours(they are 90% of our army and produce leaders like gurugobind singh,shivaji maharaj,rana pratap) baniyaas have done excedingly well in bussiness so indian is progressing today and the so-called low caste are our brothers who are progressing today.
so we got to understand that we should select mostly people of fighting class in sports.....brahmins in studies .....baniyaas in bussiness......NOT THE WAY WE ARE DOING IT AT THE MOMENT...

Hi arjun, the basic reason why india is failing and looks cowardly bad in cricket is becoz most of indian team is full of baniyas and brahmins. tendulkar,gangulyt,dravid,laxmans,kumbles,srinaths,uttappas,agarkar,balajee are brahmins. agreed that they are good players...But to ahev an agressive team we need players who are marathas,sikhs,rajputs,jats,khsatraiyas from full india. remember the marathas could rule from attock to bengal only ebcoz of courage of marathas and brain of brahmins...so we need a good combi of both not just one one caste

i totally agree,brahmins are cunning boasting cowards,they are not fit for battle,remember the Dronacharya incident,being so experienced in war he couldnt even take a lie and gave up fighting(in mahabaratha story)and people like Gavaskar,Tendulkar,Shastri all are not match winners and never go for a win,people like KapilDev,Mohinder Amarnath etc are match winners and always go for victory,these guys r good in Personal Relationship and know how to talk when to talk what(remember how Endulkar made his cry baby speech to oust Chappel)they are cunning,selfish,hyped up players
It is those drug smugglers,terrorists,match fixers,fundamentalists who make the indo-pak match as a substitue of war. It is full of frauds as we have seen in Sharjah. Dont even try to compare the ashes with this.

Very well said,these Goras are so good in PR and they know what to say when to destroy a team or to cement their place,John Wright used to do it so good by constantly telling Indian public that India is so talented all it needed was some guiding,killer instinct blah blah...

I agree to the importance of the series emphasized as more than 1.3 billion eyes have there eyes Eyed upon the clash.
Security has been a concern, but surely every one in pak no matter who loves sports and i feel sports man dont really need to be worried abt being playing here especially if they are provided with security.
To my knowledge to date no foreign sportsman has been victimized nd inshAllah things will get even better in pak.

yeah not a single incident has happpened in pakistan !and in terms of people watching, people in UK follwo Football more tha cricket! go to england and ask,many wont even know india is playing a test match there!If he said that being a pakistani coach bear it,tommorow may be an india coach says that!and he said that for pak india and not for pak srilanka or pak eng!
What is he trying to get by passing statements about safety in Pakistan, and the withdrawal of Aussie hockey team from playing in Pakistan?He says sportsmen are respected,and hence not targeted by Jihadis,and that London is less safer compared to Pakistan. Is he a coach trying to be a politician,and getting the Jihadis not to target him,or is he simply unaware of the dangers faced by foreigners in that country? Hope he is simply unaware of past instances such as explosions outside the hotel when New Zealand cricket team toured that country. Because if he is trying to be a smart ass and trying to get Jihadis off his back by his statements about sportsmen being respected there; he wouldnt succeed!I think he is already feeling the pressure of coaching the Pak team.
