It is unfortunate that the ICC used the security excuse for dropping Hair from the Champions trophy. And it is even more saddening that the BCCI wanted him out. Hair is one of the better and impartial umpires. His punishing Inzammam was correct as was also "calling" Muralitharan for chucking. The latter is one of the best known "chuckers" in the game - whether Srilankans will agree or or not does not detract that fact. Most Indians will welcome Hair. Hopefully, ICC will rverse its decision.
I think this is great news for the game of cricket. He had labelled Pakis as cheats and thats serious allegation given that he had nothing but whimsical grounds for that. With no camera footage to prove what he had set out to do no body was buying into his premonition.
Anyway now that it has been proved that he was wrong doesn't the ICC ought to have taken some serious action against him? Does this not mean that what he had done was unacceptable and unwarranted.
May God bless him with prudence and give him the courage to stand down from what he does worst: UMPIRING.
Looks like Daryl Hair has enough time to write his own book now. I am sure some publisher will get with him so that he can explain his sorry life, his ugly decisions on (and off?) the field in a paperback. And, dont be fooled, there are enough fools who will pay to read it. Well Done! ICC. Well Done! Darryl Hair.
i find indian players on filed are docile when i wattch the posturing.
This has some thing to do in the selection process. by the time players a test they become biological wonder. The have to bend so much before selectors and electors they lose spine and become spine less
