Racism law only for fans ?? Not for ICC officials ?????
by Mudassir Ehsan on Sep 26, 2006 06:02 PM

Dear All,

This is absolutely incredible. ICC drawing laws for fans..which is good, infact very good to remove this menace from sport atleast.

But, is the ICC within itself abiding to anti-racism ?? Big question and the answer is very simple - NO.

The ICC within itself is so biased and partial when it comes to treating matters concerning the asian countries. They have been blatantly biased. When a mistake is done by a white-skin player, it is pardoned or he gets away with minimal punishment, but when the same mistake is done by an Asian specially...he is given a bigger punishment...why ?? Is this not rasicm ??

The whole episode of Inzimam at the Oval is itself a blatant example of racism within the ICC.

The ICC needs to look into its own repetoir first and then outside.

Regards,
Mudassir Ehsan

ICC stand on prevention of racism is applaudable & its an welcome note. But ICC also needs to ponder about the aggressive & distasteful emancipation of religious identities & gestures, notably by the Muslim players with a ridiculous & unsportsmanlike facial hairgrow & related gestures...
If racial discrimination has to go, unnessasary emancipation of personal faiths also need to be curtailed. There has to be a ICC code of conduct for the cricketers too, on & off the field.
