I think Sreesanth could have been given a chance to take the new bowl with Munaf. Agarkar, Pathan & RP Singh doesnt show the aggretion to win

Dravid's bad captaincy
by Sandeep on Sep 16, 2006 01:35 AM

I think India lost first ODI due to bad captaincy. I fail to understand as to why India bowled full 20 overs of power play in one go. Especially when India has had good score on board and West Indian team is shown that barring few top order batsmen others can't win them matches. And secondly if weather is expected to play spoilsport Dravid should not have used powerplay to restrict their flow of runs.

indian bowlers hahahahahah

i think its unfair to blame irfan pathan only.At moment no bowlers in the current squad looks like winning the match for india while when bowling second. Its better of chasing the target all times.Bowlers like R.P.Singh and in one day team must be joking,he does not have a bit of athletic approach.

I think greg and dravid are still experimenting with the team and they even do not have time to see the d/l rules and then decide how to play. coach and captain must know the situation after each over, but they don't bother about the weather and paid the penalty. they even don't know who is bowler and who is batsman. pathan is a bowler and they treat him as batsman. sehwag is batsman and they think he is bowler. stop experiiments and play the game seriously if you want to win the worldcup. finally i think another coach(must be a superone)is need to coach greg.(who thinks that he can coach a team whose players have played more than 1000 one days). god bless indian team.

Plugging bowling chinks
by Anil Paniakr on Sep 15, 2006 06:28 PM

Perphaps Guru Greg and Captain Dravid may have to get Pathan as bowler nos. 3 (first change). The fastest bowler Munaf should open and if possible make the batsman smell leather. With left handers opening for both West indies and Australia, Ajit Agarkar bowling round the wicket for three deliveries alternatively on the Malaysian pitch can prove to be a handful. After six overs may be Pathan can have an over and get the bowlers to switch ends unless they are suceessful from start of play itself, can paly on the mind of the batsman.

Duckworth-Lewis mwthod
by RAVI KUMAR on Sep 15, 2006 06:24 PM

its not fair to decide the winner based on D/L method as we know cricket is a funny game and anything may happen at any time. Its time for us t reconsider the D/L method

Bring Saurav back as a captain
by pinto on Sep 15, 2006 05:13 PM

Dravis is very good as a player. But as a captain there is no parallel to Saurav. Even good batsmen like Azahar and Sachin failed in this dept. So, we have only option to bring back dada. He is really very aggressive who knows well when to rotate bowlers! It is a wonder to see him as a captain.

Indian bowlers should concentrate more on bowling first 15 overs..pitching the ball in the right areas and fielding according to the bowling line up..

Win on Dravid's hand
by Maharajan on Sep 15, 2006 04:45 PM

Dravid should analyse the situation and use the power play optimisticly. He should use the part time spinner in the power plays as Srilanka used to do with Aravinda de silva
