When Australia plays umpire must be Ricky Ponnting for correct decision and to save the umpires from such an disrespect to their decision.

Being an Austarlian

Ricky Ponting is captain of great Austaralian team > So every wrong thing made by an aussie automatically become right. So he must be rewarded for his conduct and should be paid bonus to encourage more and more abuses for others

Different players....different rules
by Sanjeev on Sep 14, 2006 02:42 AM

I am surprised that Ponting has been let away with just match fee fines. If the same thing has been done by the captains in sub-continent the treatment would have been even more harsh. To top it off, all the australian cricketing authorities including the players are standing by Umpire Hair!At one end, they say we need to honor umpires decisions. On the other end the captain himself doesnt put his money where his mouth is!!
Does anyone see the double-standard here.

Ponting shows dissent....

This is the nth time that Ponting has done this. Why is he getting away with it and not being fined or banned. He is probably the only player to keep dissenting and getting away with it. It does not keep up to the "gentleman's game"

pointing dissent
by J.Ganapathy on Sep 13, 2006 10:57 AM

It is good that Pointing was pointed out and penalised for pointing fingers at the decision of the Umpire.Generally the Aussies get away with such pranks.Hats off to the umpires for upholding the rules of the game. They have scored a point over Pointing.
