if Ganguly can not play why Sachin
by Rajendra Bhagat on Sep 04, 2006 11:57 AM

Due to some dirty politics today Ganguly is out of team....We can tell Ganguly as the godfather for today's modern indian team who now can blame someone for wrong decision and so on.Why no body is telling to remove Sachin from team. What is his performence in last one year. How many games he has won single handly for india in his entire cricket carrer ,simply putting him as best does not signifies any betterment for india cricet.Be practical and see the fact we will come to know who should have to be in team

Ganguly exclusion
by Pankaj Pahuja on Sep 02, 2006 04:54 PM

I think Ganguly had played decently in the past but the team is not based on the past performances of a player and given his form and capability I think he should retire from international cricket or if he still wants to be in the team he should improve as a batsman and show his worth. Nobody can pick him up given his bad run of form currently in the English County Cricket.
He should perform or retire.

Ganguly hurt by exclusion
by KUSHAL GANGULY on Sep 02, 2006 04:21 PM

we all want Sourav to come back immediately, looking at the cheap performances by the "Team Chappel" oh sorry "Team India" in the last few One dayers, but we all know this also that as long as Mr.More & Chappel duo are there, its really impossible for him to come back, even if he score hundreds in every innings....if Dravid (the robot!!) really wants to win the 2007 w/c, then he has to fight for Sourav & ensure his place in the team asap so that he can spend & play some matches before w/c.

sourav's exclusion !
by Ravi Babu A on Sep 02, 2006 03:31 PM

He drug his own grave yard by misutilizing the power when Dalmiya was the king maker ! He is a number one oppurtunist when it comes to fore ! During his captaincy people say that india has done well ...ok i agree but ha only in test matches ! so far one days i concerned he is no where close to azharuddin who marshalled his resources very well ! during his captaincy india was a sindia as sachin was the lone man to perform ! but even then azhar won asia cup 1990 , hero cup 1993 , wills trophy 1994, singer world series 1994 , asia cup 1995 , cocacola cup 1998 in bangladesh , sharjah 1998 april, 1998 singer nidhars trophy 1998 , sharjah in 1998 november when sachin was going great guns !
despite having many resources like dravid and co he didi not won any trophy except natwest and joint winner of iic and a tri series in 2003 aprl in bng along with S/A.
his performance was the worst in 2003 world cup
against main teams it was
aus - 9 &24
sl - 48
nz - 3
zim -36
pak - 0 (a golden )
eng - 19

against minnows he scored 112*,111*,105* !

wah ! kya performance hi !
all aourav supportes should re assess his credentials ! he is one of the guys who fear fast bowling !

It's true. Here the villain is "BRUTUS" our very own RAHUL DRAVID.(Just to keep the Captain's post)
Once upon a time he was on the verge of being dropped
but it was Ganguly who helped him back. Those days are gone and forgotten.

Gangulys problem...
by Rakesh Choubey on Sep 02, 2006 07:00 AM

I think Ganguly should start behaving like a sportsman.Theres always a time in every great players life when he is not good enough for the team and theres a need for a change. Obviously Ganguly should have been given a better treatment like Nasser Hussain and Steve Waugh, but its himself to be blammed. He was given the indication that he might not be picked and its time, but instead of announcing his retirement he kept on lingering. He should have been brave and sportsman enough to accept that rime has come for him to look forward and get involved in cricket in other ways instead of player, rather than trying all ill methods and blamming people for not to be included in the team.He should learn from Beckham who has gracefully accepted that the team needs change and its time for him to leave.
So Ganguly,be a nice sportsman and do the right thing.Look to other avenues to be attached with cricket.I am sure you will be a very good coach ,given the chance. The time has come that you realise the facts rather than keep on blamming others.

Retirement
by Rakesh Iyer on Sep 02, 2006 12:51 AM

This whole age thing is such a farce. In the US people play baseball even at 50, why should cricketeres retire if they are fit enough to play. How good are the youngsters you are talking about? Yuvi fails over and over again, when sachin was his age he was carrying the team. to call raina etc dependable is a jok. the reason for our recent success in ODIs are Dravid and Tendulkar and youth contributing in their way with the bowlers doign a great job. Stop this rant that player age = 35 means remove him. Accept the fact we havent found a player of the class of Sachin, Rahul, Saurav, Srinath, Dev in the past 5 years.

Bull Shit
by Sunil on Sep 01, 2006 10:02 PM

Absolute Shit... He says someone doesn't want him in the team and has played only 2 matches for India in a year. In one year did he do anything which made people feel he deserves a place in the team? Look at his performance in local matches and county matches.. nothing he couldn't score runs... let him prove like Zaheer that he actually deserves a place in the team
