Its glad to see player like Sachin to put off media or former players firing Indian team. We know game theoritically but the player in the middle who are under fire including coach are under tremendous pressure, so they more better than we do. Every one wants to win the game and its not that weenjoying losing.we need to give support to team india when they are under pressure not to hype when they are winning. Well if they are contineoulsy loosing every match then we can start critizing but not every time when they lose couple of matches

"We're not looking to be settled probably until then.(the world cup)" "If other teams are settled, that is their concern,"."Our concern is to be settled when we need to be." Bold Words from an Old Ward. But simply looking at the success of well settled combinations' (winning percentage) compared to experimental success,it is ideal that Guru Greig has a COMMONSENSE approach rather than a NO-NONSENSE approach. He is the man in charge and he need not keep playing it up often by giving tight-lipped abstracts to prove his self.Afterall,he is hired to polish and preserve and NOT polish-off and pre-severe this INDIAN TEAM.

As sachin defended, i suggest v should try out to bring best combination and also to take it as challenge to bat at any position and at any situation and keep our team in to a winning team instaed of sticking to a one favourate position.A suggestion to try out Suresh Rain as an Opener with Sachin( Left and Right Combination)./Bhushan

Kudos to rediff for presenting unbiased and complete view of Sachin's statement. Otherwise thanks to visual media has made a mockery of thoughtful and completely aligned (with coach's philosophy) view of Sachin.

Channels like Star News have completely distorted Sachin's innocuous comments and presented it as signs of break-up and factionalism within the team. To add to it, Mr. Sandip Patil didn't help the cause by ending fuel to the fire. Very very irresponsible piece of journalism just to fill the airtime and raise TRPs.

HRS MANI
India's performance in recent ODIs
by HRS MANI on Oct 09, 2006 12:27 PM

Our performance in West Indies could have been different had Dravid shown right temperament. Scoring 40 odd runs in 100 balls won't help any team in winning the match. Because of slow scoring by Dravid we lost the 2nd and 3rd ODIs in Windies. The result could have been easily 3-2 in India's favour. In Malaysia, we didn't do well and bad luck also added to our failing to reach the final. Luck favours the brave. Mongia was not brave enought to take the responsibility of seeing India through in the match with Aussies. Any shrewd batsman would have done that. Had he done that he would have instantly become a hero. Now he is a zero.
