Attribute the source
by N. P. Krishna Kumar on Oct 07, 2006 04:42 PM

Just wanted to point out that Shastri made the remark not in any column or article, but in an interview to K.R. Nayar of Gulf News, Dubai. This has been taken by threst of the sports media, but on one has bothered to attribute the source. Talk about honesty in the media!

Chappel the BLACK SHEEP in Cricket History
by bireswar chakraborti on Oct 07, 2006 11:08 AM

Saying nothing sometimes equal to saying wrong thing, Chappel.

Chappel should be sacked immediately on the following grounds :

01. Having business relationship with another GOAT - Kiran More,

02. Disastrous and kneel-down defeat against Australia in recently tri-series,

03. Being more prone to mean politics and not having knowledge-base on strategy making in any crucial match,

04.Attitudinal problems with match-winning players like Sachin, Shewag, Kaif

05. Thus, being most ineffective, dull, stupid, dud,Indian Cricket has been put into a bleak future having even no spark of qualifying into Semis in coming world cup 2007.

Thanks,

West Indian Psychologist!!! Mr. Chappell I think West Indies needs them the most. India won the world cup in 1983 against the most dreaded team in the history of cricket of all times, West Indies, without a psychologist.

By bringing unwanted clutter in the management you are only instilling more chinks in the self belief of the players. It is action not words that speak. No matter how hard the psychologist tries Indian will not win unless the players put their best foot forward.

The Indian cricketers have been getting too much money in endorsements. Whatever extra time they have is immediately used in modelling for advertisements and making money. While no one is against advertisements, cricketers should make hay while the sun shines. But it is the moral responsibility of these gentlemen to put some limitations themselves so that they can also practise more and more, play domestic cricket just to sharpen skills and remove defects. This will not only keep them in touch but also groom players for future.

At present they have become too business minded. They own hotels as well as saloons and beauty parlours.

The Zimbabwe team that came to Ahmedabad ate in dhabas to save money.

Chappal refuses to be taunted

Chappal is trying to reinvent the wheel itself. rather then building the team he has started experimentation which have failed miserebly and the team performance has been downhill since long. he has taken the team for a ride which has no fixed target. Now what Dravid is not a captain material lead by example does not mean do opening if an opener fails, if a bowler has a bad day Dravid will start bowling? We need a captain with sound judgement and not a weekling influnced by a bully coach.
