No sane person would accept the offer to be the captain of pakistani cricket team.To be very frank i actually think that ICC should have banned the whole Pakistani team from championship trophy so that the tournament starts and ends in peace.
Well i personally feel that Younis Khan is a better captain than Inzy, more proactive, more aggressive, more flexible, and with lot more ideas. I think he wants to be a captain for a longer run, and hates being a stop-gap captain which he has done so often in the recent past, that could probably be the reason he opted out. Sad news for Pakistan cricket though because i dont see any other player to be a captaincy material, looks like Mohammad Yousuf might get the node because of his seniority!!
Well...someone's gotta do the job. With the ban on the regular skipper, Inzamam, it was inevitable that Pakistan wud have a stop-gap captain for the tournament. It was obvious that the current vice-captain would be asked to do the honours. I reserve my opinion on Younis' decision but he better have a strong reason for his announcement.
Vice captain is meant for the same.He shouldn't have done that,as he was sure that captaincy will come to him automatically after the world cup.But that fool lost his temper.Tell him to meditate...
Who would want to jump into the hell?Its so difficult handling so many authorites.SHOAIB AKHTAR,SHAHID AFRIDI,PCB who can handle their tantrums?Is there any transparency in the way PCB works?
he felt this is the right time to demand PCB to make him a permanent captain. so that he can prolong to continue as a captain during world cup. some way or the other Inzy will play till world cup, PCB will chose younis as a future captain. he found this is the right time to protest and hold the cap.
