gambhir

it was possibly the worst report i read on any website on that particular match. how on hell could you complete the report even without mentioning gautam's gambhir name. it was just too biased. tendulkar's 61 hogging the limelight just because he's a big star and gambhir's match winning 110 going unnoticed...

Zaheer Khan should be taken back again to the Indian Cricket Team. He can Play well. He used to be one of the best bolwers at some times.

Gambhir overlooked?
by shan on Oct 02, 2006 06:08 PM

I think if someone scores a 100, at least some mentioning is required about the person. Reading the article, one would have the impression that Tendulkar hit a double century and the others were mere appendices.

Baised media report
by peter on Oct 02, 2006 03:58 PM

Terrible journalism. While Gautam Gambhir scored a magnificent century to power India Reds to a huge total... not one word on his innings is mentioned in your article. How do we expect young cricketers to get noticed if the media keeps always focussing on 'star players'. Thumbs downs on this one , team rediff !!

certainly a bad review
by Saurabh Kumar on Oct 02, 2006 02:16 PM

The author in his post only praises sachin's 61 and does not mention anything of 110 by "Gautam Gambhir".
This is not a review of the match .... its just a sachin's publicity.

Incorrect information on stats
by Sachin on Oct 02, 2006 11:36 AM

"It was vintage Tendulkar on show as the world's highest run-getter in both forms of the game"

Tendulkar is not the highest run-getter in Test matches, it is Brian Lara at the moment, Tendulkar never was the highest rungetter in tests till now, highest no. of centuries in both forms, Yes

Author,
Just Read this agian..

"It was vintage Tendulkar on show as the world's highest run-getter in both forms of the game, cut, drove and swept with finesse."

I think he is not the highest run-getter in both forms, but only in ODIs for now.

Or else it should have been "Highest Century Maker in Both forms of the Game".

Chappel and Dravid's team loses.........again!!!!!
by Yogesh Hasabnis on Oct 02, 2006 11:04 AM

It would be nice if Venugopal Rao gives some coaching to the Indian captain Rahul Dravid, especially about judicious use of Powerplays. Everybody must be remembering Dravid's pathetic captaincy in the first match in the DLF Cup against West Indies, when he unnecessarily opted for all the 3 powerplays in the first 20 overs, which helped West Indies beat India on the basis of Duckworth-Louis system. It will take 10 more years for Rahul Dravid to become a good captain. I really feel for the people those who seriously believe that Rahul Dravid will bring the World Cup 2007 to India.

Bad Report!!!
by Viney on Oct 02, 2006 06:27 AM

Gautam Gambhir made good 110 runs to give a defendabel score to Team Red and you don't even mention his name anywhere in the report.
