I dont find More's statement as contradictory or change of stance....remember the reason why More dropped Ganguly was- Yuvraj performing better than him....now that Yuvraj is injured, Ganguly should be in team to lend solidity/experince to middle order.....so what is so illogical in More's comment??
Probably the quote from Mr.More would be best joke of the year 2006. He was the one who said that sourav doesn't fit into any scheme of things in any form of cricket and now he's hailing the selection committee.
In India the general trend is to pull down any one who is flying high.. i recollect the Ganguly bashing by rediff users just a few months back.. and now just look at the posts !! so why only More, its a volte face by most of us!!
Once there was an owl who boasted that he had some enmity with SUN!!! So this is KIRAN MORE..he has nothing of his own to boast..so why not to try some pranks with India's most successful captain?
If everybody supported this vision that we should have experienced players in SA, like VVS,SCG,AK,ZK then why the hell you have experimented with unknown youngsters by throwing them into turbulent water!Or it is also a part of our strategy to experiment and find out the best alternative!See what has happened to irfan pathan,now you are putting Sehbag also with a word of caution.It should always be a good mixture of experience and youth which will make the team.Look at Australia.they have experience of Mcgrath,Ponting,Heyden and other senior members along with new players like Clarke and others. we welcome dada back to our team and it would be an ideal oportunity to close the mouth of some of his critics.
While there can be no doubt about the correctness of the decision to call Ganguly back to the indian team,I know there are many heart burns.No body can be liked by everybody and there will always be criticism for one inclusion or another.But the comment of Kiran More is really amusing.It is this Kiran who ensured that dada should not be back to the Indian team.Even the test at Karachi or so where Dada made 40 odd runs, were not that bad that calls for his expulsion.We find now More is changing his tune. He is a clever man. He started even saying that Sourav should be in the one day team once he has done well in test.We all know that Kiran, and we don't want to get your expert advice for that.
