Team India in South Africa
by R N Bose on Nov 30, 2006 07:11 AM

Team India will continue to perform badly as long as it lacks the guts to drop non-performers, keeps selecting players based on past glory and not on current form. The day they drop Tendulkar and ask him to regain his form in domestic cricket (not in international arena at the cost of India) before being reconsidered for inclusion, will be the day team India turn the corner. Further, there is an urgent need for change of attitude. Team India MUST know when to graft, when to build an innings (look at Gibbs), aim to last 50 overs, and not be in a hurry to catch the next flight out.

I am amazed at this conspiracy of silence about Tendulkar. We discuss Sewag, Pathan, Kaif and every one in the team. BUT, why is it that absolutely no one in the media, including Prem, ever talks about the lack of form of Tendulkar, about the damage that he is doing to the team by occupying a slot uselessly (and the demoralising effect that his inclusion has on the performers), or about dropping him?
Why is everyone so scared to talk about Tendulkar's failures? WHY?

Well its time for some change
by Ajith on Nov 30, 2006 07:09 AM

Well Said "Perhaps there is, in the story of Zaheer Khan, a message - for the players, the coach, the selectors, and for us all"...And all know what they have to do.. but then politics is taking a turn of the entire situation..

It's time to get down for sachin
by Prabhakar Kalasani on Nov 30, 2006 06:55 AM

I really got frustrated by looking at Sachin Tetendulkar preformance for an year around , it's time for him to get valentory retirement.

It would be respectful for him to get down.

4th ODI - India lose again without a fight
by Sunil on Nov 30, 2006 06:39 AM

So India losing again...

The silver-lining is that the margin of defeat is getting reduced with every match. i.e. 157 for 2nd ODI, 106 for 3rd ODI and 80 runs for the 4th one. Statistically speaking, India might win one or two matches after playing another 20 -25 matches against SA.

Kudos to Indian Team!!!
by Basab on Nov 30, 2006 04:09 AM

We, Indians are not surprised anymore from todays result!after all, it would have been a miracle if india had won the match!!Forget abt winning, India went down shamelessly again without a stint of fight! No doubt, we have one the best Indian team around of all time and of course,he best captain(rahul ofcurse!!)too!

Sehwag performed his role exceptionally both as captain and as a player,(as expected he he), in place of injured dravid(ha ha, just trying to save his skin with fake injury, nothing else,i can bet a million bucks!!After all this backbone-less captain with due support from Stubborn Chappel ia leading Indian team well in its course to doomsday!)

India whipped again
by Udai on Nov 30, 2006 04:06 AM

Dear Editor,
I express my SHOCK (like other fans) towards the loss of India against South Africa yet again. NO fight from India, NO responsibility and it looked as if they didn't wanna bat at all. Indian players don't have the skill it seems. Their is this Indian mindset that when they get their money, they tend to relax and slack off. Well, I am surprised like anything because having big guns and experienced players like Sehwag, Sachin,Dravid, Dhoni and out of team players Laxman and Ganguly, the Indian team doesn't improve their line up. LOOK at the line and length of SA bowlers and look at our bowlers. Indian team is famous for making promises but dissappointing everyone in the end. South Africa do what they say. Yes, I DEFINETELY SUPPORT that India should ban any tv commercials of these people. Because neither the batsmen of Indian team do anything, nor do they let anyone else do it. Shame on Indian team! The more team India loses, the doors open more wider for Ganguly, Laxman and Gambhir.

India lose again without a fight

It is pretty obvious that players like Tendulkar and Sehwag should either perform or be dropped. The selection committee should adopt the same standards to every player regardless of their performances in the past.

Get Ganguly back as captain
by Janardhan on Nov 30, 2006 03:23 AM

Bring back the leader who can Inspire the team and extract the best from the players. Same thing will repeat in WC2007 if they dont change the captain / coach ASAP. I am from Bangalore not from Bengal, get back Ganguly soon. I think the bunch of jokers(selectors) would have been realised by now.
