Ganguly likely to be recalled
by Sohail on Nov 29, 2006 11:51 AM

I really wonder about the metality of our policy makers. What we should infer with this information. Does it means if we have five failed persons we should give a fair chance to be failed the sixth person also. If Tendulkar, Dravid, Sahwag, Dhoni and all fails a fool only can emagine at this situation gangulY will excell. It is high time to restructure the entire team and throw out all the so called bigwigs of our cricket team. any way we are not in the top three so chances to win the world cup is very low (i say negligible). we need some great reshuffle. better late than never......

This is great news to all cricket fans in india. If it happens along with Gambhir, it will make the team balanced for the first time.Already Zaheer is there, Kumble in the team, Laxman got a recall, and now with Ganguly, suddenly the team composition looks different. It is another matter how many of them would become successful, but it has atleast exposed the total vagueness of team selection by the earlier Kiran More at the whims of people we know!Playing 5 day test on these pitches is a different ball game all together, and only good techniques and experiences will help to salvage some of the pride we had in cricket. We are looking to this good news with all good wishes!

Ganguly's possible inclusion

I don't think that Ganguly is a suitable player for test cricket where batting techniques matter most, not the runrate. He is better for the shorter version, i,e, one-day game where the run-rate matters most. Being a sweet timer of the ball(in his peak time),he is really handy for one-day and can contribute to a large extent to Indian team, of course, if he can use this opprtunity.

Selectors should have done this a year back. Ganaguly should always have been in core 16 member team if not playing eleven. This is a tight slap on Chappell's face and its high time that he acknowledge it.

if it is true than good news for dada. But if selectors are really serious abt Indian cricket Team, then they should imm send Ganguly to SA and put him in ODI. it will help in climatisation for him and India will be boosted.
Today again India will fair badly and will loose. atleast if big names are therein the team the opposition will be on tender hooks. where as unknow/not so good youngstars actually motivate opposition.
All the best Sourav!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
