Good to learn that Laxman is coming
by Shrihari A on Nov 30, 2006 11:35 AM

I am very much happy to see that Laxman is back to squad in test matches. I wonder when he kept aside from the team. I just read from some of the writers that Dravid is not fit for one day matches..I can say fully opposite that Only Rahul Dravid is the best and best person who is best in One dayers and tests also. And secondly Laxman....

These are the two best "Technical" Players we have...

Dravid miss

Dravid, I understand was injured during fielding when he missed that catch at slip.It may be good for him to do some interspect. What went wrong Dravid?Nothing,it was the team selection and neither the top line nor the middle line fired other than you.It should have been ideal if you had Laxman and Ganguly with you.You would have got that extra bits of friendly advice if the formal skipper was around. Also your trusted boys in Raina,Kaif,Mongia failed you. did you ask them what happened to them and are they not worried for their places in the team?If some body can keep players like these experienced players out, what is the guarantee for their places? Or is it that you wanted to do a trial and error method with a good no. of players! This logic could be for Chappel who does not know the player's capabilities!Think Dravid, think for you to be successful in fguture. Now that you have time, watch your boys performance carefully.

Congrats to laxman
by pavan on Nov 28, 2006 05:07 PM

Hi

I am really happy that selectors have recognized laxman as far better player than kaif, raina and mongia.Laxman missed World cup 2003 due to dirty politics played by BCCI.Hope he will play well ibn the 2 one dayers against south africa and he will be part of 2007 world cup team...

Regards

Pavan kumar(A Big fan of Laxman)

Pathetic
by Sameer Iyer on Nov 28, 2006 12:16 PM  | Hide replies

Nothing can be more pathetic than a highly irresponsible Sehwag leading the side. The shot he played and got out to in the 3rd ODI was simply reckless! And this man is now India's captain. God bless India.

see u people are too bias.dravid is a very good odi player too.many people used to say what u have said but rahul proved all of them wrong.i know that u said so because of his knock in the 3 odi but remember that at that time we needed someone to hang around and control the batting.he is a selfless cricketer.and i do remember the fifty he scored against new zealand in the 2003 world cup.he scored it in just 28 balls.he is one of the few players to have done so.but u people only remember sachin's 97 in that match....

HRS Mani
Rahul Dravid as ODI batsman
by HRS Mani on Nov 28, 2006 08:43 AM  | Hide replies

Rahul Dravid is a great test batsman but not the ODI stuff. He is not a match winner in ODI because of his batting and he does not have the temparament for ODI game. For the type of skill he has in batting, he is always an underperformer in ODI. So it is not correct to say Rahul Dravid is the mainstay batsman.

Ego?

Australia didnt have its full team while playing in the last series with west indies. That didnt really matter for them and came out triumphant. Do not give reasons to balance your failure. That attitude is of the loosers.

Viru's Test of the Hour
by Niranjan on Nov 27, 2006 11:30 PM

With Dravid's injury itz time for Viru to open up. He has to shoulder huge responsibility with some key players off.

Just be patient enough to bat for fifteen overs atleast. If u stand even for 10 overs a enuff boost in the score.

wat mistakes we have committed in both will be an alarm for MEN IN BLUE. Just be aggressive everybody.
Ur body language must speak up.

WISHING ALL THE BEST
