Sack Chappel
by HRS Mani on Nov 27, 2006 10:24 AM

Chappel is not an Indian fan. He has destroyed Pathan by his experiments. He is now destroying Dhoni by not promoting him at No.3. Remember Dhoni scored 183 at No.3 position. Chappel has not bothered to try him at that position even once. Indian cricket has deteriorated after Chappel became coach. If Sharad Pawar is interted, he can recommend Chappel for Bharat Ratna.

No question of Chapell sacking
by M M GUPTA on Nov 27, 2006 04:15 AM

Chapell is going to stay as HE IS THE ONLY SAVIOUR
( some say only destructor)!
In the number game, the former though less in number, should get the chance for full term as the Parliamentarians get.
Bad performance , whether is the result of a demoralised group , nobody can touch now
FULL TERM TO BE WAITED . LET THE HOUSE BURN !

Chappel
by Kanwal Jeet on Nov 27, 2006 01:41 AM

Mr Pawar and BCCI, even if you decide not to sack him, good on you, you are a gentleman. I have big respect for Chappel as player. But is not necessory that good players become good coaches especially in Cricket.
But the figures are bold and clear on wall. With Chappel's coaching and Indians failing so miserablly even a naive person can make the direction of our Cricket. Of late we are failing so misrably that we dont come any where near to even providing a proper match to opponent teams. Playing against India for teams like, West Indies, NewZealand, South Africa is like playing against Zimbave Keneya, Bangladesh. The results are predictable. Dont we have any thinkers on cricket in country? Cant you see which direction our cricket is rolling to? Certainly Chappell is accountable. Please dont be naive and soft like Rahul Dravid and rest of Indian players. Chappel needs a farewell better.
But at the moment Indian cricket has too many problems to address. The attitude of players, the performance of our players, too much mony spoiling players, even stars like Tendulker, Kumble, are aging. Yuvraj and Sehvag are indifferent in attitude. Mr Chappel is hidding behind all these.

The Coach, his responicbilities & his fees
by Raj on Nov 26, 2006 09:28 PM

Is the coach just to tell the horses drink water? The coach should be knowing how to make the horses drink the water. He is not paid just to ask the horses "please drink the water" and just to take the praises when they are able to drink the water. It is a known fact that the wrong coach and the wrong president are in command now. Greg is no motivator; in fact he wanted the downfall of the Indian cricket which is almost head to head fighting the mightly Australians and runners up in the last World cup. Ganguly is the one who tried anwering in the crooked and cunning Australians whether for the toss or for anything. The Indians have to open their eyes and set right the sinking boat of Indian Criket before it is again in the hands of the East India company (Mr.Greg or Australia). What a wonderful achievement by the Great Australians - NO.1 for ever.

what else should come ?????
by sreeprasad on Nov 26, 2006 12:08 PM

I read somewhere Dravid telling that criticism will not help India to do well.. and calling India a over emotional country...i was wondering which country will not be emotional if their team performs like this.. i can see England in the same boat.. by playing like this what else should team india expect. Here as far as i know..people will accept failure after resistance.. but meek surrender without any fight is not acceptable. It has been high time since India played good cricket.. in ODIs.. so this reactions are in the expected lines and is reasonable also..team Inda has to accept this and try to play better..otherwise more banners will be burned and more houses will be attacked..taking from the 2003 worldcup experiences. Team india..its time ..stand up and deliver.. may God bless you people

No question for Mr.Power
by Hemant on Nov 25, 2006 12:53 PM

Mr. power, we know that you are a very powerful man.In Indian politics, in your home state and also in Indian cricket. But being its president, you are bound to answer to some of the frustrations expressed by our countrymen. How do you say,Mr. Power, that India HAS DONE EXTREMELY WELL IN WEST INDIES!Is it because they got a drubbing at the hands of Lara and Co. and the result was 4-1 in their favour, not in our favour? You are a busy man. We don't blame your memory. It was only a few days back that we all supported you when the Australians showed that they were not gentlemen during the prize disr.ceremony of ICC event. But if you say you cannot change the coach now, fine! But then show us the result. We have heard enough of rubbish from this snob that is Greg Chappel. We are not going to listen further.Change the composition of the team immediately by bringing in Ganguly and Laxman, if you want to save the grace and save your costly coach! If not, you will be responsible to the anger of 1 billion people, Mr. power!
