Reservation in cricket!!!
by Paul on Nov 24, 2006 08:58 AM  | Hide replies

Dear Mr.Athwale,
Great!!! This was what we were waiting for. Finally, the last frontier is waiting to be broken; reservation in cricket team. Now that you want reservation for SC/St at district level cricket teams, we will soon hear 50% reservation in the senior's team. God save India!

RE:Reservation in cricket!!!
by Sudarshan Narasimhan on Nov 24, 2006 12:29 PM
Well said...

These corrupt politicians have no right to criticize the teams performance...They are trying to make a case for a failed and dirty policy called Reservations...So, politicians pls keep away!!!

As far as cricket goes, India cannot play pace! Thats the truth even if it is bitter. They come a cropper against quality pace bowling. Its not a new thing, has always happened in the past.

Unless we lay pacy-racy tracks in india and have our players play games on these strips, we can neither play pace nor can we produce good pace bowlers.

But since nothing is going to happen, voices like mine are always meant for deaf ears!!!

MP s and cricket
by Madhav Deshpande on Nov 24, 2006 08:51 AM

The recent defet against SA was much expected and justified. The Indian batsmen and MP s do exact same quality of job in their own fields. So the MP s have no moral right to talk about Greg Chappel. Greg Chappel can't help this because the batsmen are more interested in the ad money that practise.

If it all India needs intends to win the first thing BCCI needs to do is BAN any player form appearing in the ads.

If they can stop them from giving interviews then why not this?

These players are more interested in ad money than cricket.

MAJBOOT INDIAN DAAT are put in HOPELESS BCCI mouth in just one punch.

The real Q is can india make remaing 160+ runs from Match #2 in remaining 3 matches.?

Ram Alegavi
Sack Greg Chappell
by Ram Alegavi on Nov 24, 2006 12:33 AM

As expected he has ruined Indian cricket. Mr Sharad Pawar and Mr Vengsarkar please wake up and throw him out immediately and appoint Mohinder Amarnath as the new coach.

I will not be surprised if some frustrated and angry Bengali attacks Greg chappell. In fact I will be very happy.

Thanks

Ram

Hello MP
by Vikram on Nov 23, 2006 09:16 PM

Hello Mr.MP,first people like u should be banished from the society. If I get u in my hands,i bet I wud rip u apart.
Where all do u want reservations?U have already made the nation so impotent by some stupid, insular politicians like u.
Do one thing, even to use public toilets in India, have reservations for Sc and St to use it first. To get in2 cinema theatres, have reservations there too.
What u need is votes,right?U dirty,rotten scoundrels,think when u speak,u r in a responsible position.Do u know y talented sportsmen r not able2 make it to the highest level?
CORRUPTION........Ur favourite mantra for all the smut in this country. From personal experience,I say that a district level cricketer has to shell a handsome amount of atleast 20-30 thousnad rupees to get in2 the squad.Talent is not about castes, religions ,u duff head.Y do u want2 give everything a political color?
Be sensible and do sensibly.Votes,Elections,Power,Money, are ur food and drink.U people wont even flinch to sell ur mothers to fetch a handful of votes and get a concubine instead of ur mother.Kuthe,Kameene log,tum jaise nethavonko kisi b desh mein jagah nahi hai.Unfortunately, our country has to bear u.

Let us call for the MPs heads
by Sohail S on Nov 23, 2006 07:56 PM

Do they have no work in a country of a billion people other than discussing something as trivial as a cricket loss? No wonder India moves ahead despite her worthless politicians.......

Mind your own business
by Wilson Varghese on Nov 23, 2006 06:46 PM

MPs had better mind their own business. The country is in worse shape than the Indian team and their performance has brought more disrepute to India than all the Indian team's performances combined. Concentrate on your own job. The cricket team's performance was terrible and there are better qualified people to comment on that.

Why to blame Chappel alone? What about Rahul?
by Sushanta Bala on Nov 23, 2006 06:29 PM

Fully agreed that Chappel contract must be cut short. But dont you think that we are hiding a captain, a bad leader of the game who has no motivating calibre and aggression? A captain is more responsible than the coach, I guess, because the captain plays and leads during the 6-hour match.
