now this justifies a wasim jaffer in the team...else perhaps a dravid or evn a pathan or dhoni or say bhajji would be asked to be the swashbuckling second opener alongside tendulkar.
Trust me guys, its not that bad a thing if he misses the first match. He has been performing miserably recently, so this mite help Indian team's chances.
poor guy sehwag, he will lose his match fee. i dont see any other difference this will make. india is anyways going to lose (whether sehwag is there or not).
Yea , true, what a big deal as it is he is not in form since the last 15 matches, he comes back with a knock after every 10 matches which is not a form, and coz of him many youngsters and experienced batsmen are sitting outside waiting for there chance. Indian team is missing the aggressive attitude which the leader ship of Ganguly taught them. They have only one good ability and that is to snatch the defeat out of the mouth of the victory. Rahul Dravid is an indolent captain and has forgotten the time when his place in the team was not concrete and Ganguly brought him in the team as a wicket keeper just to keep him. If he was out at that time then no one in this world couldve fixed his place in the Indian side. I believe the management gives the chances to play to manny wrong players like Sehwag, kaif, Etc but not to the experience players because of politics. I am sure Ganguly will be in the team till Feb as he is already scoring well in Domestic, he still has lot of cricket left and Indian team and management should not ignore the experience.
Atleast he would be happy that his oneday average will not go down still. Starting his oneday carrer in high 38 odd he has come down to 30 odd. Shame on his game. An Opener should stay put at grease atleast 10-15overs. He is not even making the same count in balls these days. Wake up sehwag and carry ur weight in the team by making quick runs or leave ur place to other eligible players who are waiting on the wings.
