Australia to probe pawar incident
by V.Srinivasa Rao on Nov 07, 2006 08:43 PM

Dear Sir,

The euphoria of a win cannot warrant the bad behaviour of the Australian team. The way they pushed out Mr.Sharad Pawar off the podium was there for every one to see. Being the best team in the world also brings with it the responsibility of best behaviour. The Ugly Australian image does'nt seem to shirk off from time immemorial. Australian cricketers need to be given adequate coaching on Public behaviour.

Regards
Srinivasa Rao.V.

Pawar Incident
by Srinivasamurthy on Nov 07, 2006 08:22 PM

Hey, whats up with we Indians? Can't we just stop making a mountain of a mole hill? I blame the media squarly for hyping up a non issue,as Sharad Pawar himself, thankfully & gracefully, admitted as much. I saw it all on the TV.Martin just about touched Pawar, too eager to pose for the photo op( any one would do so, if a person happens to stand in front, between him and the camera, don't you think?)to have patience for Pawar to clear off from the dais.He did nothing more;certainly, not nudge Pawar. What is just an act of childlike(not childish)exuberance of truly world class cricketers and individuals is being portrayed as arrogance or rude behaviour, by a whole lot of sycophants, including present & past chief selectors!Pity even Sachin joined this stupid bandwagon, based on heresay.Expect Ganguly to make a strong statement against the Aussies, sooner or later! After all, he still nurtures hopes for an entry into the world cup team! Sharad Pawar may be the Union Minister, President-BCCI & Chief of NCP, but to the Aussies, he is just another individual, not an untouchable deity!Sharad Pawar ji, thanks for your grace.Mates, don't fret. You did no wrong!!

We will take all Shit's
by Ashok S Shetty on Nov 07, 2006 08:15 PM

We will take all shits because we are Indians & we have patience, tolerance. Nothing will happen in this case, like all terrorist attack of Pakistan, committee will formed, croes of rupees spend & finally put the file in dustbin as a waste.

Can we have guts to do the same things in Australia or can we say Australian Cricket Board to take action all those players involved. No, want, because we are peace leaving People...

Pawar incident
by Venkatraman on Nov 07, 2006 08:12 PM

I think too much is made out of the incident. It is true that Mr Sharad powar should have retreated himself as i believe he wanted himself photographed withthe winners.this my impression. Why read too much into an incident.

Aussies and the Sharad Pawar incident
by Stanny J D on Nov 07, 2006 07:38 PM

I feel the Australians responsible for the 'Rude behaviour' with a Senior and respected public figure like Pawar from India, should be taken to task and punishment should be meted out to them. If thier board does not give out the punishment , then the ICC as the governing body of world cricket should ensure that fair judgement is given based on the video footage. It was abundantly clear that Pawar was pushed and treated with disrespect first by the Captain of Australia , followed by Damien Martyn with a push and with eyes by the others of the team. I think the BCCI should not take such incidents lying down.
Amazing thing is the way the Australian's achieve thier agenda, when it comes to sledging and disrespecting Indians. It is done in a very subtle manner....like this incident , where Ponting is calling upon Pawar with a finger gesture , and at the same time giving a broad and innocent smile, WHAT DECIET!!!, and the other players also follow suit. Does these Australians think the rest of the world are DAFT ???? They are a unbeatable and all conquering team, but am sorry they are completely disgraceful and POMPOUS!! Atleast under Steve Waugh they were more humble in victory.
