hi, It is very shame for theindian cricketers.Remember the tournament is played in home soil.Better change the captain & coach. We need THE BENGAL TIGER to lead the team in a victorious way.The great INDIAN team travels in a fall down way. We need a perfect person to uplift the falldown of the team. Definitely GANGULY ll do that. waiting for a victorious INDIAN team.
It is very surprising to note that there is not a single Indian in the leading run scorers or wicket takers. Agreed that India did not play the qualifiers or the knockouts and that cricket is a team sport and individual performances do not mean much if everyone else fail, but I believe this is one of those very rare occurances where Indian players dont feature in those lists, inspite of the tournament being played in India. Looks like its time India takes a serious look at its weaknesses and come back strongly with the world cup just around the corner. Good luck Team INDIA. We are still proud of you.
It is very clear from the statistics not even one batsmen or bowler from India figure in the list..with such a performance god knows what we will acheive in world cup 2007....
In the stats, we find hardly any Indians. In Pre-Chapell era, eventhough India did not win many tournaments, but we use to boast about the abundance of our players arriving in various tables. One thing is evident from the stats is that Chapell have managed to kill the individual brilliance of the players. He had made it clear that individual brilliance have not place and thus managed to make the players to play percentage cricket. And the effectivity of this theory is quite evident from the results that India are displaying in the field.
