Why Waugh is doig this?
by Ravi M on Nov 02, 2006 11:37 PM

I don't know wny Steve Waugh is doing such social work activities in India while our cricketing heroes and filmstars are busing making money, fooling people with their false love for the nation.
And Indians never give value to such great people like Steve Waugh and others who do such social activies.

Analysis of this situation
by Mahesh Satya on Nov 02, 2006 11:18 PM

We should not put blame on Indian stars. How many normal middle class Indians are willing to help down-trodden like this. It is easy to blame others. Even if Indian stars just provide money (I am sure they do anonymously) that is enough. Whether they do the actual work of housebuilding for poor people, is upto the celebrity person. Stars do participate in charity events and raise money. I am sure, if this was not through Jim Carters Charity, Steve Waugh would not just walk into a construction site and offer help there. He is mainly doing it to set example and motivate others to do the job. Point is the willingness to help, be it actual work or providing means (like money, equipment, motivating others) needs to be understood by all people on planet.

super rich indian cricketers
by bhaskaran on Nov 02, 2006 08:49 PM

shame on our cricketers, they are busy counting money these days so they are not counting on their runs...millions and millions of rupees is doing no good to our crickters, as Mr. speed is correct when he says that the BCCI only makes money but does not put enough effort in improving cricketers at state levels nor do they strengthen the associate members hands and improve infrastructure. While our cricketers are busy making billions the blue billion campaign is a flop which is the only plus in the failure.......

Steve made all of us feel guilty for pouncing on Chappel..
by karam Das on Nov 02, 2006 04:43 PM

Group people by their Karam, but not by their nationality, race or color!

Yesterday, so many of us were blaming Chappel for the team's loss, and some of us expressed doubts about his integrity. Today Steve's great Karam made me feel guilty for blaming Chappel. what a timing of the news, litterally opened my eyes at least!

Maybe Chappel is really doing the best he can, we can defintetly criticize his methods, but his not integrity! Even if he is not doing his best, let us blame Chappel as person, but not because he is a Gora or an Australian!
This is my way of thanking Mr.Steve Waugh! We need more people like him to make the planet a better place to live!

Social Work

Our so cvalled heroes should simply take some lessons from the job done by foregners in India.

For long time we are bashing foreign culture but we are ignoring their big heart. I don't remember if any of our cricket/bollywood or politic hero did the work without fanfare.

May go bless people who cares for others too!!
