I didn't get the entire point in this judgement, I mean both have been positive to the drug test, but why they were given different punishments, one is banned for 2 years and the other is for 1 year? why so? why not the same judgement for both of them? is it like that one is more positive than the other while testing! looks funny.....
This was long overdue and Shoaib deserved this. Even when he took his career best of 6 wickets against NZ, I am almost sure that he would have used some form of performance enhancement drugs. And all this on top of sustained chucking is a shame that he was even playing for this long. In the recent India-Pakistan series where he boweled extremely fast and took Sehwag's wicket and hit Tendulkar's helmet at another occasion could very well have been done under influence. Otherwsie imagine how can a batsman of Sachin's caliber ever miss a bowl and get get hit on the helmet. Shoaib should not only be banned for 2 years but should also see his bowling figures and records erased from ICC's record books.
