Give Chappell the boot
by Sandipan Choudhury on May 29, 2006 12:50 PM

It's high time that we understand the negative contribution that Greg Chappell is making to Indian Cricket and "gracefully" kick him out of the country.

Greg's comments

I am expecting More's comments to support Chappell in this issue and how it will do good to Indian cricket and specially to the youngsters. Also, to claim that it was purely a brilliant tactics to make such a sly comments and lose the series.

a MORE from CHAP hell
by kln on May 28, 2006 07:40 PM

i think time has come to bring back our senior players like ganguly, laxman , kumble..and also ask our coach to keep concentrate on TEAM INDIA and not commenting othes other team.. atleast let them finish off thier trail by this series .let them develop stable team with consistent members ..let the youngster be given chance in next world cup..
also KIRAN MORE should give chances to senior player who served the team in past ..let youngster could get chances in future after world cup..
if this team ,ie keep on experimenting with players .. continues ... this would not even enters second stage in WORLD CUP

The Chappel ''middle '' fingure
by picoind on May 28, 2006 11:58 AM

Do we have a genunine fast bowler?
A dependable opener?
If sachin does not play , then the only person to turn to is Dravid.
What is Shewang doing in the team? He gives a knock of 60-70 in 10 innings.
( If Saurav cannot find a place in the team because of Chappel's and More's ego, then Shewang must be given a final ultimatum to perform consistantly or perish.)

The current Indian team simply cannot defeat Australia, South africa, England out side the subcontinent.
In ICC oneday ranking we have dropped to 5 th position.( Only 9 test paying nation- shameful)

Chappel is making a mockery with his unmethodical strategy and "experimentaion"
We lost test series to Pakistan, drew with minnows England in home soil and lost to dilapidated West Indies.

He was never a successful coach in Austraila . He got the job here only because of Saurav's and Dalmia's influence.
Stop paying him fat paycheck.

What he needs now his own medicine" The Chappel Middle Fingure"
It is time to show him the door.

mr. chappel, you are yet to achieve your goal-2007 world cup
by palok on May 28, 2006 01:26 AM

The BCCI should take firm action against chappel and remove him to save Indian cricket and build real Team India who can perform both at home and overseas. We need to recollect that in our last visit to west Indies under Ganguly we won the one day series 2-1.
Chappel will lead India nowhere, forget about taking Team India one step forward. One step forward means to win the world cup and not to be runners up.Dravid needs to understand that too and should start behaving like a real captain.

Greg Chappell: The Loose Talker
by Rajkumar Singh on May 27, 2006 11:46 PM

We all know that Greg Chappell talks loose and rubbish. This is the reason there was a conflict between him and Saurav. He is working against the interest of the cricket team of BCCI (not India any more) by throwing out the man behind the then Indian teams success and still an in form batsman and leader. Still he is untouched and spared. It happens only in India. We love to live as slaves to foreigners!! I can give hundreds of examples!!

Greg's sly remark motivated us
by nagesh on May 27, 2006 09:01 PM

Now, will More and his team of 'jokers'(quote- Mohinder)sack Dravid and say he has failed and make Dhoni , the captain- anything can happen in Indian cricket! And they have dropped Agarkar, the man in form!Dravid -poor man-now he would be said that he was not aggressive- too nice a cricketer!Ganguly was aggressive- he will not mind removing his shirt! And we are back to v.v.v.Laxman, aged 35 and Ganguly is useless because he is also 30, and he was frank in his remark! It is high time Arjun singh interferes in the selection of the Indian team and have a reservtion of 27%- then politics would be totally involved in Indian cricket- no half-hearted entry!!
