From confidence to confusion, from a spirited team india to a disintegrating team, from a whiff of freshness to abject inexperience ---- these and still more stinging epithets are the appropriate statements to describe the mood of the touring Indian team under the arrogant coaching of Chappel. Before the team set on the tour, all Chappel-acolytes predicted a facile series win which alas has turned bitter and more so with every passing match. The unconvincing win in the first outing was sign enough to dispel supremacy of the third ranked team that tottered to a last over win against the team ranked eighth. The excellent captaincy and field-presence of Lara was in sharp contrast to the brainless, spoonfed conduct of the Indian captain who looks more like a chap suffering from long constipation. Idiots in charge of the BCCI have disastrously named this unworthy the captain till WC to doom the last chances of an Indian recovery. The guy simply cannot enthuse the teammates, let alone fire a passion. After a year of gruelling and methodical training, why does the team faulter at the post? It was all hogwash, the results show it all.
