You are right dravid

You are right dravid, It would be tough for you
to loose a senior player like sachin, who is no
threat to your captaincy.

May be it is easy for you to loose a great player
like Ganguly since he is a threat.

Dear Sir,

I do not understand why we are still depending on Sachin when he is already hit with injuries and also he has failed miserably in most of the test odi series in the near past. It is high time he retires from international cricket.

Already the Australians are racing to superseed him in the number of hundreds scored by him and he can not copeup with their speed as he (Tendulkar) has started showing fatigue from his recent failures. More over he does not even protest when wrong decisions are given against him, by the foreign empires.(I think he got the maximum number of NOT OUTs out due to the deliberate and mischievious outs and the max. given in Australia.

When things are like this it is better to go for young bloods who with a little experience will perform well.

I request Dhoni to concenterate on cricket and not on fame, his hair stail and advertisements for making quick money, otherwise he will also loose his face value and a place in cricket, as quickly as he got it recently.

Miss Tendulkar? Who me??? Naah!!!!
by Blatant Truth on Mar 27, 2006 11:52 PM

Dear Rahul,

I think you should be actually glad that Sachin is not in the team. In fact, you will be glad that a non-performer is out and you and the coach will be able to give a chance to another upcoming cricketer.

Tendulkar is a player par excellence, but he always gets a chance of hiding behind the 'pallu' of injuries whenever he is out of form, instead of being unceremoniously dropped from the team like Ganguly.

I think there will be many who agree with me.

Indian cricket and youngsters.
by Ilyas on Mar 27, 2006 08:01 PM

Its great to see new crop of cricketers whose all round efforts helping India winning crucial matches. We have now some finest young pace bowler as well as batsman who can burn the fuel in the field to win matches for india. However as a
crowd it makes us feel starnge why Mohammad kaif is out of squad most of the times despites his good perfomances. He deserves to be in Indian team both in Test and one day.

Sachin should contemplate taking a break just like Lara
by Pratap on Mar 27, 2006 07:35 PM

Sachin looks tentative and jaded.
May be he should take a break and recharge his batteries and not rush into cricket as soon he is fit.
Dravid and Chappel should also think of ways to present him with greater challenges, rather than ask him shoulder the burden of bowling and break down again. He is not a utility player but a champion batsman.
How about opening in test matches??
He has got the technique no doubt and the some youngsters can be tried in middle order. And spare Sehwag from doing the flash and drive as opener in tests. He is not an opener, mostly Dravid does his part. He can do at six what Gilchrist does it for Australia.

How astonishing!
by Prabal on Mar 27, 2006 06:18 PM

While Sachin's contribution was a zilch for many years and that he was a big burden for the Indian Team is swiftly ignored and find here that Dravid is praisinh him while he kept mum about Sourav, the greatest contributor to the Indian Team ever. Maybe he is missing someone to speak to in Marathi!
