It wasnt a 100 all out wicket
by Samiran on Mar 23, 2006 08:51 AM

The gang of six namely Sharad Powar,Lalit Modi,Niranjan
Shah,Rajsingh Dungarpur,Greg Chappel and Rahul Dravid
has been defeated.Their is lot of money in the game of
cricket.Everybody want to have a morsel of the pie.
The yesterday's cricketers are behaving like cronies.
Yrphan Pathan,Dhoni and to some extent Shewag are not
batsman. The whole strategy was wrong.Greg should be
sacked.

No PLAN, No PATIENCE, No MENTAL STRENGTH
by Venkat on Mar 23, 2006 06:52 AM

Ofcourse our team didn't play well.
Atleast the match can be taken to draw. It clearly shows,
our players need MENTAL STRENGTH. They don't want to be
in the greese. Even if they simply practice, no need of runs, the match will be drawn. We will be series winners.
No PLAN, No PATIENCE, No MENTAL STRENGTH. Just hurry.
I suspect match fix after seeing the immediate dismissal after the Lunch.

Why India Lost?
by Chethan Kapadia on Mar 23, 2006 12:48 AM

Becuase it is our history (tendancy) to loose after most of the wins. and for that not only players but Media also responsible. Medial Makes them larger then life size after every WIN.

Our players feel great about themselves ("Chane ke Zad pe chad jate hai") after win and does not put their heart which normally they put after most of the loss.

If possible I request editor to make this message read to all our players of indian team.

IT WAS NOT A 100 ALL OUT WICKET
by M.R.SRINIVASAN on Mar 22, 2006 11:11 PM

It is rather funny that Dravid says The decision to field first wasn't the right one; but then we could have lost the toss and would have fielded first anyways" . The toss win presented a great opportunity to bat first and bat England out of the game. This chance was stupidly frittered away and was a major reason for the eventual disgraceful defeat. Instead of explaining the rationale in not batting first Dravid seems to dismiss this lightly by adding unnecessarily that had the toss been lost the team would have fielded first. This is completely irrelevant and signifies that he is just not getting things right. This is escapism, to say the least.

100 All Out !
by Vivek Bahadur on Mar 22, 2006 10:45 PM

Shameful performance from Team India - Lack of Application,Balance,Control over the Situation and Determination to Attack / Defend - Everything was missing !
This is apparent from the innumerable catches we missed, our top order Batting failing and statistics showing that Anil Kumble was amongst the Highest run getters in the series for India after Dravid & Jaffer!
With Sachin being advised Medical treatment,Sehwag too needs a break to regain his bearings and return to his usual devastating self.

The Englishmen however, should not be deprived of the credit of levelling the Series and are now expected to show up in the One Day Series with renewed enthusiasm and vigour.

This certainly was not what Dravid must have anticipated in his 100 th Test Appearance !

Indian failure
by T.P. Viswanathan on Mar 22, 2006 10:19 PM

India's dismal performance has become a topic of discussion in news channels and among veterans / specialists. BEfore going into the failure, let me ask why two two senior batsmen, who were not fully fit, were selected for the test!. When Sachin failed, Dr. Joshi became his mouth piece and came out with the theory of Sachin not fit.

One of the ways to keep the interest alive, is to link payment to performance of the players rather than paying based on seniority. After all, what have the so called seniors attained for the team in the test matches just concluded. As Gavaskar puts it, in test match, batsmen should have the commitment to stay on the wicket, whether they score run or not.
