It is quite clear that Kolkata is paying the price for BCCI's internal squabbles. It is also disgraceful that the media has chosen to air only the views of Lalit Modi alone without bothering to listen to the CAB side.
Politicians have entered the sports arena:it is a good news that no match has been alloted in Kolkata. This will save money and manhours for the Bengalees.Cricket is not a sport nowadays it has become a 'KHEL'.How can you justify that the advertisements are going on after the 1st ball of the over has been bowled.I would have been more happy if Prasar Bharati would have stopped showing it in TV! Good decision. Kolkatta crowds have time and again shown themselves to be poor losers and intolerable to indian loss or Ganguly\'s non-inclusion. They should not conduct any international matches in Kolkatta hencforth till the conduct of the crowds improve.
Eden Gardens didnot loose a chance to host a match of the Champs Trophy it is the Champs trophy which lost it's sheen by not getting a match in the Edens. Cricket (rather the open filthy politics in the game) has never been so dirty and obnoxious in any part of the world as it has been for the last six months in India. These dirt (read the dirty people at the helm now) needs to be removed immediately from this game to this game to remain a 'sport' in India.
