Dravid's record
by Sashi Rao on Mar 18, 2006 12:51 AM

Phenomenal record does all the statistics show!!
Still, it does not bring out the long long hours Dravid has been at the crease calming the nerves, blood pressure and pulse rates of an entire nation !Wish somebody puts such data together , and will not be surprised that Dravid has spent more time than even Gavaskar or Tendulkar in their entire Test careers!

regarding as to whether cricketers can be role models
by Raghavendra on Mar 17, 2006 10:42 PM

somebody from the rss says dravid and ganguly cannot be role models for the youth.then i ask them who should be the ideal models...the corrupt politicians .....
i say its a bit old for today's generation to depend on idols who are from pre independence. make certain changes in legislation so that only educated people can enter politics and do something good for the country by encouraging all round development...it's a shame to say that a country with 1 billion people gets a single bronze or silver in the olympic sports.
