BCCI's pampering of Chappel reminds me of Bhindaranwale. His arrogance should have been nipped on bud. Like famous weaspon of Australia he too has boomranged. He is doing some good to Indian cricket but at the same time he is also doing bad - which is in more than it looks at present.
The comments of Greg Chappel on Sourav Ganguly's personal life are in extremely poor taste and highly sickening. The BCCI should immediately initiate a disciplinary action against Chappel and strongly consider to dismiss him. His unscrupulous remarks against the former India captain is like a racial slur against the whole Indian community. Sadly enough, the board spinelessly accepts such crude remarks from a diseased mind, which needs to be terminated from his job without delay, to save the pride and prestige of Indian Cricket and the nation as a whole.
Mr Ganguli has been categorically told by the selection commitee, that given his recent performance record over last 1-2 years, he is no longer going to be considered.
Why is Mr Ganguli not taking a graceful exit and announce his retirement / Why is he shamelessly hanging on for money and endorsements that will stop if he retires ?
The Australian former cricketer must concentrate and comment upon the performance of the Indian team, that too to the members of the team individually. Media always blows up the interviews, for they want business. Experienced players like Chappell, have been brought to India only with an intention to improve the performance of the Indian team and not to comment on his own pupils, in public, that too in the international news papers and agencies. Let Mr Chappel show his capabilities in training the Indians and not in the rhetorics.
