Throw him away. What is his average and consistency?? In all overseas series, he play awfully bad and in last or penultimate match he hits a century and make sure that he is in the team. I have been observing this for the past 3-4 years.
Some body pls check and present this statistics
VVS Laxman donot deserve a place in the Indian team, leave alone world cup...let him watch others playing from Hyderabad

Budha should have called for similar statistics of Kaif, the so called good fielder..Budha should reliaze that India continued with several players who were performing like Laxman intially. Had they been discontinued India would not have even dreamed about any WC, muchless 1983 WC.
I fully agree with Holding that VVS Laxman should be included in Team India for WC.He can be an asset to the Team India. He had one day hundreds into his accounts so why he cannot be played in One day matches. If you want to compare with anyother member then count how many oneday hundreds did others scored.
I completely agree with Michael on this. Having a batsman of his pedigree in the team as frontline batsman during the WC would immensely help in anchoring the line-up whenever it is in a spot of bother. I believe his omission from the team from the 2003 edition was most unfortunate and must not be repeated again.
Laxman should be included in WC. This might be his last WC. He was ignored for the 2003 WC when he was in prime form. They opted Dinesh Mongia at that time and paid the price for it. Laxman will form the back bone of the middle order. People who have good knowledge of cricket only can understand that experience is more important than young talent particularly in fast tracks.
One cannot agree with everything that Micheal has written. VVS is good for the Tests. As is well known. ODIS are a different ketle of fish where saving runs is the name of the game. VVS is far too slow in this requirment. It has to go to a more alert nd quickfooted player
Please for the same of Indian teams chances of winning the WC do not include VVS in One day team. It will be a suicidal step if he is included in the team. He is a spent force in Indian team. Why should we think of VVS when we have got a number young talented crickets knocking at the door.

lachu shuld be in wc team for winning wc. u think the inexperince team won the wc never............ u allready saw the performance of the team in one day series.............
Pitches in WI are not as ones in subcontinent.on those kind of pitches experience do matters..so laxman should be includeded in WC squad rather than pretty young squad..there may be choas for selectors ..but they should include laxman in team..
